Posted July 31, 201114 yr So I made this thread here And so far it seems that either I get some kind of amp or not bother with stock speaker replacement.I was thinking of getting smallest amp possible to power the speaker replacements and hide it in dash, taking power and ground from factory harness would be even better, but finding such an amp, that's challenge. How about Alpine KTP-445 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22630_Alpine-KTP-445.html Would I be able to just cut the wires and connect speaker wires to my speaker wires and ground and power to the ones in Toyota harness ?I woas thinking of these speakers for replacement...Fronts http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8696-sc95-boston-acoustics-6-x-9-sc-series-2-way-full-range-coaxial-speakers.aspxBacks http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8698-sc65-boston-acoustics-6-12-sc-series-high-performance-2-way-full-range-coaxial-speakers.aspx
July 31, 201114 yr I don't think that Alpine amp works with anything but Alpine HU's. I know a member here had one and said it was a marginal improvement from normal HU power (StefanHinote I think). I think your best bet would be to find something used. There are TONS of two channel amps for sale on various forums. As for those coaxes, don't waste your money. If you are going to buy an amp you may as well spend the money on components. You can even find a pair of components for the cost of what you posted. Also, don't waste your money on the rear speakers. Just leave what you have in there as rear fill and use the money you saved on your front stage. I strongly encourage you to invest in some quality sound deadening as well. Remember, install>equipment
August 1, 201114 yr Rockford fosgate just came out with some extremely small amps. Im not sure if they came out with a 4 channel but they have a 300.1 i think that is around 3in X 4in and only needs like 9 amps to give power.
August 1, 201114 yr Check out the amp on this thread, beleive them to make a 4-channel. Have not used myself just remember it being a compact amp. Good Luck!!
August 1, 201114 yr Admin We don't sell them, so I don't have first hand experience with them, but they have a tiny foot print, I know who builds them, and the brand name is quite good.http://phoenixgold.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=39&CategoryID=1
