You're famous! got a 156 and some change off of 1200 watts?!?! :trippy: :trippy:

Seriously? Is the 56 with the 1200? That is crazy. :morepower1:

I'm guessing it's the Stetsom @ .5ohm ;)

Ok, ok, it's not a guess.

Great score Steve!

From what I heard, he was far ahead of his competition and could have easily won his class, but the recones failed him and he took 2nd and 3rd for the two classes he was in. We feel very horrible that

More reliable power being ordered on Friday.

156.4 on 10k

153.2 on 5k

152.7 on 3k. Took 2nd in finals

150.7 on 1200 watts.

So far...

This = Nuts.

I'm gonna work on this one. That was a quick burp at finals just to see if I was competitive in that class or not with such small power.

More then 150 on 1,200 watts is competitive, I'd say :ughdunno: lol

Good job man!! I'm excited to see what the new amps do to these! *thinks about the poor camaro*..

not quite. i have to swap in a sundown 3k, and took second.

In usac,i modifed classes are classed by rated power at 4 ohms.

0-1000 was my class. my sae1200 is only rated a like 300 @ 4 ohms. im competing against guys running around 4000w.

1200 is just a drop in the bucket.

lol. you callin me fat????

Who's the one that got 1st place in your class? I saw a firebird there with 6 audiobahn 12's but didn't get to see him meter.

Your car was loud

  • Author

First place was a CRX doing 160.2

That firebird was a joke. "world record holder" on the window. He did like a 146.xx or something. No real impressive and the wall was kinda ugly.

Yeah i saw a crx with like 10 runs of 0 gauge.

The wal in the firebirdl did kinda look bad

Either way your car sounded good on that low of power. Good work man.

Time to start thinking about my lacking front stage. i have...

alpine 9887

DC 175.4 175x4@ohm or 250x4 @ 2ohm

Huge power available looking for

either 2 6.5s in each door or 1 pro 8 each

and

2-3 1" tweets each side.

any suggestions?

Pro audio, one mid driver per door and bridge that 4ch to them. Go as big as you can fit!

Horn tweeters if you don't wanna go with a super tweeter. Personally mine blend nicely. Smaller amp for those.

No problems what so ever getting loud even at 150 plus. Multiple drivers look cool but that's about it.

  • Author

here is the amp. i dont thing bridging it will be needed. lol

DC 175.4

True., but keep in mind pa mids are 8ohm so you will get half that. They will still get loud as he'll tho.

I got 500w per side on my mids, but I always did have problems doing things in moderation. LoL

They usually have a higher efficiency though, if you compare the spl measurements the power being used between 8ohm and 4ohm is often different. ;)
