November 5, 201113 yr Author So I'm redoing the rear cargo area where the amps, processor, and battery are. Plus a false floor gives me more room for an enclosure to sit on top.Mockup, 11/311/4Still need to do some sanding around the edges where the heatsinks protrude. I'm thinking about doing a piano black finish on the false floor and battery spot.Any thoughts, tips, etc?
November 5, 201113 yr make sure to blow ur nose thoroughly with that MDF in the AIR bro! BLACK BOOGIES FOR LIFE! SWITCHED TO BIRCH WILL NEVER GO BACK!
November 5, 201113 yr I have to give you kudos for consistantly doing work!!! Wish I had the time to work on all the things bouncing around in my head.False floor is looking good! Can't wait to see the finished product!!

I would also do some kind of plexi inlay to product the amps/processor.

How much easier is it to wrap a panel a in carpet then vinyl? At least this panel is large so there isn't too many sharp curves.
November 5, 201113 yr I think carpet would look better. Going to throw any fans down in there? Would look cool to do some LEDs around the edge of it? Keep up the work and detail! Post 3,000!
November 5, 201113 yr Author I don't think heat will be an issue, that's why I left parts of the sides open and top cutouts. No leds, makes it a Bitch backing up at night, can't see shit.
November 6, 201113 yr Author Fuckers, making me wrap shit.I hope you have a seizure: Just gotta wrap the sides and cut excess vinyl. It's not perfect, but I'm content with the outcome.
November 6, 201113 yr Author fancy!Well now I have lots of space for an enclosure.I was thinking of an 18" icon, hmm.
November 6, 201113 yr Badass, how did you like working with the vinyl? 18" huh? I would go with something smaller and more manageable. Looking forward to more progress either way.
November 6, 201113 yr That looks amazing Stef. I don't know why you hate wrapping, you're pretty damn good at it
November 6, 201113 yr Author Looks very nice. Now wire that battery up!I wasn't done wrapping the top panel and painting everything. Now the amps are installed and the battery is wired up.Badass, how did you like working with the vinyl? 18" huh? I would go with something smaller and more manageable. Looking forward to more progress either way.I hate working with vinyl, I hate wrapping. I don't need lots of room and even with an 18" I'll still have plenty of room and maintain some excessive output when it is desired. I am going sealed after all. That looks amazing Stef. I don't know why you hate wrapping, you're pretty damn good at it Wrapping the flat top panel is simple, until you get to the edges and curves then shit gets bad. Looking good, Stefan.Makes me wanna install shit too.
November 6, 201113 yr Author Looks great man!!! Wish I had the time and tools to do all that.Appreciate it. I wanna say it took around 16 hours split between three days.Table saw, jigsaw, dremel, clamps, wood glue, spray adhesive, and a few other small things here and there.

Finally got a tablesaw a while back, this is first time I actually used it for something.
