EXACTLY!^^^ It's happening on every forum I frequent.

On CA.com or ROE?

Not saying this is what Kevin is doing;

His reps are and that means HE is. There is no separation and it is ultimately his responsibility. Other than that faux pas Aaron, the rest of your post was dead nuts on.

Not to my knowledge. Several others though.

That is the norm on a few other sites, so it is expected. ;)

And I'm sure everyone knows which sites they are.

Do you mean the MTX 9500 vs Skar-12 thread?

B/c it was pretty obvious who was who. :peepwall:

To clear things up - NO ONE has access to selling SKAR Products unless they are an authorized dealer, such as SSA or WoofersETC.com (Or a local shop), etc. We have all dealer contracts on hand and all dealers MUST follow MAP pricing.

While you may see a few people around the forums as "SKAR Reps" they are in no way dealers for SKAR Audio unless they own a physical shop - they represent the brand and help provide information based on personal use, feedback, previous car audio knowledge, etc. The only companies that actually stock SKAR Audio such as SSA, Woofersetc must follow MAP Pricing, and these people going around the forums giving false pricing, etc is just not true.

I handle all shipping and I can assure that I stress people to order from reputable dealers like SSA so that they are covered under warranty, it's why we have dealers. If someone is selling for the said "$295" With full warranty, I will look into this, but I can also assure that it is not coming directly from SKAR and the subwoofers may be used. I have been working diligently to build SKAR around a dealer base and to protect the brand so it does not turn into the next Kicker. SKAR is expanding fast, but we will not sacrifice brand integrity to do so. We are about to launch several new product lines in the near future as we continue to grow as a brand, and hopefully as we do continue to grow these so called "Forum Reps (claiming to be dealers)" will disappear after they get rid of whatever inventory they may or may not even have.

There was a W7 thread where someone tried to convert the op to a Skar too. :lol2:

So what I'm getting is the VVXs are crap, and the dealer who PMed me is now banned? So now the VVxs are out and The FI xs are in? The Fi Xs compare the the SA12s and LI12s even though they run 400 rms?

No the people of SSA believe Kevin is crap, he is not. HE was not a dealer he was undercutting SSA which is bad.

Ohh, so hes not an actual dealer then? Makes sense, he offered me 295 shipped for two VVX12s.

I looked at the FI Xs and they dont look like they would be on the same level of the other ones. On Fis site they claim they are their entry level subs.

Exactly the issue. Extremely shady, extremely bad for the industry. This is identical routine that happened with a few other brands in the past including one of the worst all time RD, who we were smart enough not to be connected with them. I hope Kevin is not repeating that model.

Not saying this is what Kevin is doing;

But the issue in the past has been that there are so many of these brands that show up. They start off with a really bad track record, try to run from it and pretend nothing is wrong. Quickly followed by a sea of kiddies that call them selves reps running around the net pushing the crap out of a product with the same bullshit approach of the production is the one-size-fits all answer to EVERY install and every need regardless if it is even remotely close to what the customer wants or needs. It is the same show, just different actors.

Aaron just summed EVERYTHING up, perfectly.

In the last few weeks I've seen numerous people calling themselves skar reps (thinking their hot shit or something) pushing skar products for every application known to man. You could ask them if its good for a quasi-eighth order bandpass and they would say "Yes sir!"

It's really sad to see people that clearly don't know what their talking about trying to sell something, it's pure fail, and it's an insult to other manufacturers that strive to make a good a product with good customer service.

It's not like it doesn't happen with every other brand, how many threads have you seen involving a Fi Q and a t-line? way to god damn many.

Or you'll give someone else "inventory".

Not by the same person recommending the same product regardless of goals, vehicle, or budget, who also happens to be a "rep"

M5, I don't expect you to agree with anything I say, and this isn't an argument or debate, I just simply wanted to let Aaron and any other prospective dealer that they do not need to worry about these "Forum" Reps diminishing the brand.

Kevin did you not notice anything shady in this thread that you posted in.

I did and it's not my company. :ughdunno:

Do what you say and we're fine, however, it surely isn't possible for someone to have Skar inventory that didn't come from you so therefore you are the only one that can fix the situation appropriately. It is also most definitely by your actions it happened. Not saying its you, but surely caused and controlled by you whether you want that responsibility or not you've got it.

I don't care to debate either, but don't go parading into a thread and defer all responsibility for a situation that is solely created by yourself and think I'll not comment. If it was your shot at clearing the air, feel free the stage is yours. Do expect if you try to slough this off on some woe is me story I'll call you out on it.

I'd never buy used subwoofers. I like the FiXs but I'm afraid they wouldn't be on the same level as the LI12s. I need some evidence.

Thanks for putting up with my indecisiveness by the way !

There is no reason to NEVER buy a used sub. Especially when you're on a low budget.

What makes you think that? If the LI are a little cheaper with the sale going on, get them! They will both be great subs. Or you could always flip a coin, as stated.

I just installed 2 10" Fi X subs on an Audiopipe 1000d and they are great souning woofers. Very tight sounding yet get down low. You wont be disapointed with the Fi

If you should get close to the Lock Haven or State College area let me know, you can hear the Fi ssd subs in my truck. I know they are not one of your selections, but would give you an idea.

I think the SSD is a better option.

I would personally choose the SAs. Love mines to death. They have made me a sundown user for life. From products to service is A+

I think the SSD is a better option.

I agree, just figured they would be out of their budget. Unless they finally decided to try and find some used.

I think the SSD is a better option.

I agree about the Fi ssd's they rock for the money.
