February 14, 201213 yr Very nice sir I had an Escape and know how little room is available in those trucks.
February 15, 201213 yr Author Got the router bit in to cut the port opening and bought a new sander to clean everything up today. Still gotta glue and screw down the baffle and finish bracing tomorrow. Hopefully my order comes soon with the carpet and and other odds and ends so i can finish that up.

February 16, 201213 yr Box is looking good. No bracing for the mounting baffle?Mounting baffle shouldnt need a brace if built right, side wall baffles will suffice.
February 16, 201213 yr Box is looking good. No bracing for the mounting baffle?Mounting baffle shouldnt need a brace if built right, side wall baffles will suffice.Where can I find the data that supports your answer? There are 8 12" subwoofers with over 6kw mounted on the same baffle. It looks to me like the spacing between subwoofers is 3-4". The integrity of the mounting baffle has been compromised. I would think bracing the mounting baffle is a logical choice to make.I asked because I ask always learning from others Edited February 16, 201213 yr by edouble101
February 16, 201213 yr Multiple build logs using similar equipment if not more power, if thats not enough data then i guess none of us no what where doing. Boxes tend to flex when underbuilt or poorly built, plain and simple. Double baffling and multiple side wall threads are usually adequate for bracing.
February 16, 201213 yr Author No worries guys there are 4 more braces going to the baffle lol. Thanks for the compliments guys and expect plenty more to come later on today.

Thanks for the compliments guys and expect plenty more to come later on today.Definitely think that is a good idea, if not a necessity on panels that large. I am really anxious to see your carpeting skills! Mine suck lol.
