Posted March 1, 201213 yr Lets get this build log started! I was debating a new build back in October, but with the haunt and buying the new building, well I had to put it off until now. What funded this build was, in my very little free time I clean saltwater aquariums and have been saving that money for a few months. I was undecided which way I wanted to go, but after talking to Aaron I decided to go with SSA subs. I have never been part of the team until now, but I have always promoted SSA in a positive manor.I decided on 2 18" XCONS sealed. The box is 54"x22"x22.75" total net vol after disp and bracing is about 11.6 cubes. Now for the pictures and yes this may be picture heavy. Edited April 25, 201312 yr by nem
March 1, 201213 yr Author If you notice the brace is not perfect, my son wanted to do it for me and I am not bitching. You will notice my toes in the pictures, don't worry I have lots of shoes, but I like to go barefoot.
March 1, 201213 yr Author The old set up.You will notice the box has a new baffel, that is because the first on broke around the right sub.
March 1, 201213 yr Author Thats all I have done now. Tomorrow I need to get some carpet, build the box mounting bracket, and install my second battery in the back.
March 1, 201213 yr Author really excited about this build, should be awesome!!!You and me both chop, thanks.
March 1, 201213 yr Author Before I forget, when I carried the subs into the house and opened the box my wife looks at me and say " holy shit those are huge and what the hell are you going to do with those?" I told her the next time she gets out of line that she is going to stand in the corner holding one with her arms straight out. She did not see the humor.
March 1, 201213 yr Author Looking good, thats not picture heavy need more! Thanks, I will have more pictures tomorrow as I continue the build.

March 1, 201213 yr Author I love the second job gig and your sons ambition to have a hand in your build Hopefully we can catch up at Carlisle and you can sell me those JL's Thanks. The saltwater job started out as a teaching lesson, but ended up wow if we pay you can you keep it looking like that.I would like to go to Carlisle, but with work and traveling I am not sure at this time. Those JL's are my son's speakers and they are about is old as he is.
March 1, 201213 yr Sweet Neal! Looks like we're going to have several F-150 builds on here at the same time. I think mine will be the tamest.
