Posted March 21, 201213 yr now... this is my first wall that i will be doing. and i am not to sure on how to go about starting.i already have a cardboard mock-up of the false floor...but thats it.my car has alot of wierd curves etc, so im not sure how to exactly "measure" my deminsions. so how would i get a volume?i will need someone to design 2 ports for me as well.basically, how do i start? any info is appreiciated.its 4 DCON 15"s off of a sax1200 here is some pics of the rear. its going BEHIND the 2nd row of seats.
March 21, 201213 yr not trying to be a discouraging hater but why a wall & all that space, weight & work for just 1200wrms ?
March 21, 201213 yr I have no experience with walls, but you could just make a regular square box then fill in the sides with trim panels, just a suggestion.

March 21, 201213 yr Author not trying to be a discouraging hater but why a wall & all that space, weight & work for just 1200wrms ?Why not?... iirc, its easier to increase DBs via cone area over wattage.K thanks bye
March 21, 201213 yr Author I have no experience with walls, but you could just make a regular square box then fill in the sides with trim panels, just a suggestion.i was thinking this...But i think i may need to use more space than the "center square" to get the volume i need. Thanks bro
March 21, 201213 yr Author Whatever makes you happy.Sorry but ever since you joined SSA, i personally have never seen a post worth a shit.Hence ur -50 rep... (or close to it)/mini-rant
March 21, 201213 yr yes it will be a cool system to have but cone area isnt always everythingid rather use a single sub or 2 with more power to achieve the same result & still be able to see out my rear windows & get better gas mileage too but hey thats just me
March 21, 201213 yr No, cone area is king. But this is of topic, sorry swagger. I would suggest a normal box with trim panels as well. Save you the hassle of all the curves and glass work.
March 21, 201213 yr Author That does seem like the easiest way...I need to measure again.Hopefully i have enough space to do that. Keep em comin!
March 21, 201213 yr Honestly, I would just do a big ass box, firing up, all in the rear cargo area. Output would likely be pretty similar, and you could still see.Otherwise, I'd do a wall behind the b-pillars.Just my opinion.Flame on.
March 21, 201213 yr I fully agree Stefan, with that much space I would just do up firing box with port to the rear.
March 21, 201213 yr While a quad 15 Dcon low power wall would be suuuper sick, the most logical way has been stated above. Otherwise, I would do what has also been mentioned.. Build a square box and fill in the trim. I'm sure you have the volume if you extended the box far back enough.
March 21, 201213 yr not trying to be a discouraging hater but why a wall & all that space, weight & work for just 1200wrms ?my wall did a 152 on 1200w.
March 21, 201213 yr not trying to be a discouraging hater but why a wall & all that space, weight & work for just 1200wrms ?my wall did a 152 on 1200w. I'll take cone area over power any day.If you are set on the wall I would also build the biggest box that you can and seel it up from there.
March 22, 201213 yr Author I cant just do a big box facing up... not enough area for 4 15s.Already checked.
March 28, 201213 yr Author Well... to barely be able to fit the box into the car...I can barely fit the subs on a design. So... how much port do i need?On the baffle, i will have like (2) 4"x8" (about) spaces for port...Ill get a pic up tomorro.
March 28, 201213 yr Author Calculation for that good sir? Anyone wanna design me the ports?? If so... shoot me a text.404-831-2928Thanjs. JonathanP.S.... need this like tomorrow. Haha
April 9, 201213 yr why not make the biggest possible square box in there center port 2 15s on each side, thats how the wall is now that im building for 4 ab xfls. what are your max dimensions behind the seats?
April 9, 201213 yr For a box this size internal distance could be an issue. Please give dimensions of your box and the layout of the wall. Also you should plan on making the port removable so you can fine tune the box. Edited April 9, 201213 yr by Duane
