The XCON is a great sub, I'm sure if you get a ported box within recommended specs you will be happy.

Loud is relative to the person and the install. There are a number of factors at play here that effect the output. How much sound is allowed to pass through from the rear into the cabin, what kind o

Maybe you expect too much out of a single sealed 12" ? Some ideas ; Try a ported box. Use aeroports too save space if the trunk is small. Change box position : fire the sub through the rear. more p

Agreed, I'm assuming it is the enclosure.

Its gotta be that enclosure, either just wrong airspace or leaking air like crazy, that sub should be getting down even on the 600 Watts, and be flexin your ride pretty good even sealed especially with 1500rms.

I hope that you get it figured out, you have an awesome sub!

The inside deminsions of the enclousre are 24x8x15.5. And has some. Bracing

if that xcon isnt loud, you are doing something wrong, even only on 600 rms.

That is what I am guessing, as loud is relative to the install and person, I was still able to render mirrors useless off 240 watts, sealed.

What would cause that clacking noise it sounds like metal hitting glass

98% of the time, that is an air leak.

I just don't understand whats wrong cause I made Tge boxes to all my subs and that trek would murder what I'm getting now and it had less power. And the visonik was keeping up with this. Idk and don't understand I will reseal the box today but ya

Could you post some pictures of how your sub is wired. Curious to see.

Ya later I will it's in parrel positive of one coil to the amp then the negative of Tge other coil to the amp Tge jump the positives together And te negatives together

When you look at the terminals is the red always on the same side of you?

  • Author

I'm not understanding the question. The coils are on opposite sides and positive and negative are next to each other

Your pictures will show me what I am looking for.

When you look at one set the red will be lets say on the right for example and when you spin the sub to the second set the red should be on the same side of you.
