I had Boston Acoustics low end comps in the front, and low end coax's in the rear powered by a low end Alpine 4 channel amp. I had a very nice Alpine deck (unsure of the model) and two Alpine Type S 12s in a prefab box powered by a dei 1100d. I fried the 12's within a week and then started researching online and installing my own stuff. Interested in hearing what everyone else had for their first setup!

95 monte Carlo factory speakers kenwood hu profile California amp for speakers and 10" jl w3v1 on a ppi art series all taken from my parents boat when they got a new one.

First "real" biggrin.png system was Pioneer tape deck and 2 Kicker XPL's sealed box , mighty Radio Shack Optimus & Legacy amps in the mid 90's. In a 1987 Olds 88.

2 Sony xplod XS-L123P5B in a sealed box

Sony xplod XM-2002GTR amp

Sony CDX-GT300 head unit

jensen 6.5 front

kenwood 6.5 rear

88 CRX Si, in 1993

-Pioneer cassette deck w/ 6 disc CD changer

-4 x Alpine tweeters (front)

-2 x Pioneer 5.25's (front)

-2 x Pioneer 6.5's (rear)

-2 x Pioneer 6x9's in boxes (rear)

-Sherwood 4 channel amp

-2 x Alpine 8's in a QLogic bandpass off of a Pioneer GM-1000

-2 x Pioneer IMPP 12's in a QLogic bandpass off of an MEI 500w amp

It was all used gear I had collected before I had a driver's license, probably sounded like shit but at the time I was loving it and was hooked.

Wow everybody is so young! My first system was in a 1985 Ford Escort hatchback- 2 Cerwin Vega 12"s running in stereo off a UNICs 2x75 watt amp- that thing hit so hard back in the late 80's, it turned heads all the time, I miss those days.

first system was in 2002 in my 96 Hyundai sonata.

Hu: walmart extreme sound

front speakers: stock ( later change to bazooka 3.5 coaxials.)

rear deck: stock( later changed to bazooka 6.5" coaxials)

sub stage. 2 bazooka bass tubes off of a 100 watt Pyramid.

i had a family friend who workef for bazooka, so i got most stuff free.

sub stage later became 2 mtx roadthunder 12's in a Sealed q logic box with a bazooka el500.1

It was the mid 90's and I was the very broke son of a small time farmer, so I had NO real Money to spend on things like audio. My first vehicle was my '70 Chevy heavy half ton two wheel drive truck with a 388 stroker, lowered with dual working hood scoops and other fun mods. Since the gas tank was behind the seat there was no way to put subs there and my old man wouldn't let me cut holes in the doors mount speakers. So my first system consisted of the cheapest Pioneer tape deck I could get my hands on with the cheapest coax speakers mounted in boxes I built to mount just under the front of the seat. I traded an enclosure I built for a guy for a pair of 12" Thump subwoofers which due to the gas tank location had to be installed in a ported weather proof box in the bed. They were powered by a US Amps A50HC that was traded for repairing an Alpine HU for a guy I went to school with.

While I wish I still had that A50HC, I sure learned a lot about what NOT to do in car audio with that truck.

I had a mtx eliminator 15 powered off a punch 45. Later I used the punch on a set of 6x9 and bought a legacy amp. I think it was 300w.

Sold all that and got a 10" kicker competition in a 4th order bandpass design I got faxed straight from kicker.

All this was off a pioneer tape deck and an Optimus eq

Kenwood deck, MA audio 10's.

An amp that fried fast. The a really nice Kenwood deck and an alpine amp.

I think I still have the alpine...

In jetta. 95 I think.
