How does a tweet that can be safely crossed at 2.5 limit choices in a mid? You can mate it up to almost 6 1/2 and a lot of 7 inch mids just fine. If I had reccomended a tweet that needs to be crossed at 5k I can understand how that would be limiting a mid choice. Unless the op wants to go up to an 8 inch mid....Then I would suggest a widebander or 3 way. I digress....perhaps more info is needed.

    Not all ~7" mids can be ran up to 2.5khz. So it does inherently limit the mid selection.

    Yeah....I kinda said that.
