October 3, 201212 yr Very clean edges. Can tell you're very precice with your measuring and cutting. Kudos to your attention to detail. Keep up the good work!
October 4, 201212 yr Author Thanks guys, more pics to come tonight, the sheer size of this beast is hilarious. Measurements to actually fit through the door opening have to be perfect. This will be interesting. Figuring how to secure it is also challenging. With 34cu ft of outside dimensions to go through the side door is crazy
October 4, 201212 yr Build a platform that will fit fully and snuggly between the rear wall and the box. Remove the four or six bolts that hold the bed and slide it back. Predrill the truck rear wall for 8 or 10 3/8" bolts. Use lag bolts and flat washers to secure the platform to the truck. Pre drill 8 or 10 holes in the back of the box. Slide the box in and use lag bolts and flat washers to secure the box to the panel. This way you don't have to worry about getting behind the box to tighten a nut.

October 4, 201212 yr Craftsmanship is awesome. I'd almost rather leave the enclosure bare when it's done.
October 4, 201212 yr Author Popular Post Thanks, all screw holes will be filled, I wanted the smooth side in. The birch is so smooth I may not resin the inside. I think it would be hard to get back to the smoothness it is now.Started working on the port but my wife shut me down, I guess a saw at 11:00 at night is frowned upon in this neighborhood. Haha
October 4, 201212 yr I wouldn't bother with the resin. Oh I cut stuff in the middle of the day, and my neighbors will open their garage to sit in the front, see me, and go back inside.
October 9, 201212 yr Author Got alot done over the last two days. Been working on the port over the last couple days. here is my progress.Got the 45's in the box to flow into the port.Port assemblyTest fittingShows how the 45's flow into the portSince there are a few small things I am not 100% satisfied with I will be glassing the 45's, port wall and sand and paint the whole inside. Considering how much labor I have in this thing I might as well do it all.
October 9, 201212 yr Looking even better bro. It was good to meet you & I appreciate the demo That thing is definitely a beast & exactly the same setup I enjoy
October 10, 201212 yr Author How about some bracing.Painted and sanded the port with 180 grit, smoooooothGlassing the 45's and port junctionMofo is hugeAll I have to do now is one more coat of resin inside and some sanding, put the brass terminals in, roundover the port entry and she can go in the truck. I have a feeling this is gonna get loud. Then I have the task of making it all look good in the truck. I have alot of money wrapped up in this enclosure, and I still have a ways to go.... I started looking at receipts, bad idea.....Final specs are 20cuft net, with 277.5in of port, tuned at 31hz Edited October 10, 201212 yr by swift
October 10, 201212 yr Tuned in. Can your wife video you putting the box inside the truck? That's one I would love to see. Your tall ass truck too.
October 10, 201212 yr Author Tuned in. Can your wife video you putting the box inside the truck? That's one I would love to see. Your tall ass truck too.Yeah, good idea. That way I can look back at it when I'm old and def and say WTF were we doing back then, haha. I think I might build a stand the exact height I need it so we can just push and slide it in, or use a forklift very carefull till its half way in and just slide the rest of the way. I will video it either way.
October 10, 201212 yr That's a sexy enclosure you got there sir The pic of you standing next to the enclosure really shows the size.
