Posted January 5, 201312 yr can some on tell me what the ohm load will be on 3 sa15s?ive used a couple different calculators and @2ohm they say 1.333, and @4ohm 2.7but i was looking on youtube and some one says there getting like .67???and what amp would you suggest the bc200 or bc3500?thanks
January 5, 201312 yr If you wired them in series-parallel it would be a 1.3ohm load.If this is for a daily driver system I would recommend sticking with the BC2000, I don't see the additional cost and electrical system requirements of the 3500 to be worth the minimal audible difference.

January 5, 201312 yr Author Sorry it was @.66 here is the video that i saw it on I thaught they came as either d2 or d4? do they come in a d1???its not a daily driver its something i take out every now and then when its just me / and wife not enouph room for the kidsso id like to make it a projectthanks
January 5, 201312 yr I personally run 3 18" obsidians on strapped aq2200's around .7 each amp. I would recommend going the bc2k for now and maybe going another later. You will not be dissappointed as two bc2k's might just sound a little better than the 3500 because of the output of the ohm load you're running. Biggest different will be overall cost, but if you don't have the money now and have it later it will be worth it. I wanted to go bc5500 the entire time, but my aq2200 hold their own. I just recommend being prepared to back up that eletrical.
January 5, 201312 yr Author I havnt bought anything yetim trying to figure what to buyand what type of enclosure to buildive planed on the wiring upgrade and batteries still not sure of the alt Edited January 5, 201312 yr by FoRgIvEn

Both of those guys are getting a pretty decent rep here lately. I haven't dealt with Singer, but I got one of the 270's he had on Christmas special for $240 right before Christmas and I am still waiting right now. I had a feeling it would be like this and he has changed the time he said he was going to ship a couple times, but I will keep asking until I get it and hopefully all will come out ok.

January 6, 201312 yr I talked to Mike and he's a good guy. He helped me get an alt for my trailblazer. 275a. It was awesome and was a tank! Good product and good guy. From what streetlegal posted, here is the website he got it from. You can use it to help you with other configurations also. That way you wouldn't have to wait for others to respond and have any confusion.http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp
January 6, 201312 yr Author thanks everyone1 last ? wouldnt 2 bc2000d be way more than the SA's can handle
January 6, 201312 yr People have put a lot more to them then that even. You jus have to know what your doing.
January 6, 201312 yr Author yeah i knowive seen on youtube were people are putting like 5k to 2 SAsif 3 SA's gives me a 1.33ohm then with the box rise i should be could on the ohm load to strapped(i thank its 2ohm stable strapped?-not sure though)
January 6, 201312 yr thanks everyone1 last ? wouldnt 2 bc2000d be way more than the SA's can handleYes, in my opinion that would be a waste of money. One 2k would be fine.

January 6, 201312 yr If you strapped the amps at 1.33 ohms then it would be .66 ohms per amp and that is unnessary to runs amps below 1 ohm for daily. You should be fine with 1 bc2k.
January 6, 201312 yr thanks everyone1 last ? wouldnt 2 bc2000d be way more than the SA's can handleYes and completely unnecessary unless you plan to compete in SPL. Put the $$ you would have spent on a 2nd BC2K towards much better uses instead. There's no such thing as "box rise". Impedance fluctuates as a function of many things....heat, frequency, etc. Don't count on it to save you from blowing up an amplifier if you wire below the recommended nominal impedance.
