August 19, 20187 yr My arthritis flare up has lasted almost a whole month now. I'm getting pretty annoyed with this.

It is auto adjusting on timing and fuel delivery which are the "traditional" things you would change. It supposedly does a really good job at it though so you shouldn't need to. If I were 100% certain the technology would always work and never need fixing it is compelling.

It's weird that they used in in all of the "pro" saws first if it wasn't more reliable. The temperature and elevation factors maybe the best reason. A pro would travel and cut all year and might not understand the engine, as the just understand cutting trees. From what I can tell the stihl version is more reliable with the technology than without. Apparently the recalls were for something unrelated. The Husky autotune did have problems originally but it's no longer an issue it seems like. But a German saw does look better in the back of the BMW than the Swede.

What fun is it if you dont overanalyze everything and everything use cases that you will never have and make sure that you get the best deal possible? Come on man, this is the interwebz. Those guys need it to run in any condition for the 2 years the saw exists before they destroy it. I need mine to run 1-3x a year for 20 years. Completely different need. Just like I don't trust German cars with all their electrical nonsense, I don't trust anything with extra crap like this. My snowmobile is the same. Simple carbureted beast that wallops on computer controlled fuel injected ones.

Come on man, this is the interwebz. It's for porn, cat videos, and measuring hypothetical penises! This is the hop...so I have to discuss potential purchases. And yes, I've wasted more time in $ than it would have cost to buy the more expensive one...but that is also how I roll. Capt'n overboard!

You change your sled frequently, but that's for different reasons than things wearing out, no? I digress. What I understood from the injected sleds is that it is a failure point and you don't want to be stranded. I was saying the mtronic has a smaller chance to leave you "stranded" based on the people I know using them. While the state and city would keep the old power heads running for a decade, they did constant maintenance and they would just stop working all the time. They just shit out randomly, or what seemed randomly. They guys using the new m tronic saws had way less problems with saw running, as in they were more reliable. They haven't been in service for more than a decade though so I my friend who uses them now cannot comment on extreme longevity. More than half of those employees are cruel to the tools, is something that I should address. I have witnessed people throwing power tools into truck beds and just letting them bounce around. I know that's something you wont be doing so it's not a completely fair comparison. The BMW comment I get. Hit close to the kidneys there. Haha! I fantasize about havive some pro touring muscle car that will stay with me for life but I know that I have no skill to keep it running. At least at this point in my life. I actually purchased the bimrbecause it had the best warranty of anything I drove that made me happy and I fit in. Being >200 pounds lighter is going to change things when I shop this next time.

August 21, 20187 yr Going to any forum it is easy to come to that conclusion. In Husqvarna vs Stihl vs Echo vs Dolmar threads within 5 posts an answer is always, "go with the best dealer". This implies you will need service. I am fine with servicing, but not okay with needing someone else to do the service. Same on the snowmobile.
August 21, 20187 yr FINALLY found my truck! Hope they deal! This things been for sale for 3 months. https://www.glenbrookdodgechryslerjeep.com/inventory/used-2014-ford-f-250sd-xl-4wd-2d-standard-cab-1ftbf2b61eeb03166
