Just don't forget to bake some cookies for dessert!!!

I got cupcakes!!

Traded my GT straight across for a Klein yesterday. I think I made out well.

Nice bro!!

Needs an inner-tube, one shiftier replaced and the rear brakes bled. Should help me to quit cigarettes. I can go ride first thing in the morning instead of huffing butts.

I found a Miata with some rear-end damage. A friend decides he wants parts (he also has a Miata), so we decided to rent a trailer and go there. If it's good, we buy it. If the sills are salvageable it would save me around $300 for new sills and the whole Miata costs $600. We'd have a lot of spares for that kind of money.

All is fine until I read the traffic law. The combined gross weight of the Jeep and trailer has to be under 8500#. The lightest trailer I could find to rent is 2600# and the Jeep is 5000#. Nice, legal. Then I read the fine print: between 7000 and 8500# I need to either get an addition to my license or take a course. Both cost the same and the course takes a week. So no 3-Miata pictures this weekend sad.png

Holy bureaucratic bullshit Batman!

Indeed. The law is pretty clear and concise. On the other hand, if they would weigh the whole thing I would be at 6800-6900# running weight

8,500lbs for a vehicle and trailer sounds really, really, light.

Find a farmer with one of the Fendt or similar tractors with a high speed road gear in it.

Too much hassle. I have nobody reliable who can go check it. 400 miles round-trip. I'm going to take the course next week, rent the trailer and just go see the car. Then decide on the spot if we buy it. Worst case, we're out $80 per person (fuel + trailer rental)

Car dolly?

Any of you guys have experience with carrying HK's?

Got my CPL a few months ago and I want to replace my G17 with a suitable carry gun. I was looking at P2000 and USPC.

I use a p2000 as a backup for work. Not necessarily what I would want as a primary, but is small if you're looking for concealed. Easy to operate, cycles rounds great. Ours are chambered for the 9mm round. Holds 13 in the mag.

CO?

Yes.

Colt c8 as primary, HK p2000 as backup side arm.

Edited by nigel

Yes.

What kind of facility would let you carry a firearm inside? I would assume you can not enter the facility with it..so even a BB gun would be acceptable for a primary..unless you do a transport maybe.

Impossible to find for renting here. Plus the car no longer has insurance and road inspection. Otherwise we could've drove it here. The seller rear ended it, bought it from it's original owner and is now trying to sell it to recoup some of his loss. With the bureaucratic jungle here it would be impossible to buy and re-register it under a different name.

Simplest option is to buy and part out. Or maybe build a Lotus 7 replica. Or some crazy kit car.

The parts list adds up to over $1500 just by judging used prices, and there is nobody parting out a Miata within 1000 miles.

Wish I could help man! That is some B.S. A light weight car..We could probably pick it up and load it in a box style UHAUL..

Payed 400$ for a used S&W bodyguard 38 special with a beam on it. It was in very good shape, looked new actually. The place where I bought it has to do a background check, and then I can pick it up on march 10th. Figured the bullets aren't really expensive, it's not to small of a bullet, I could carry it with me, use for home defense and take it to the range. Do you guys think it will be a good 1st gun? And if it was a descent price.

I had a 38 Taurus fire off on me when dropped blew a chunk out of my left calf muscle..Was a hollow point lucky it missed my arteries..

If you like the pistol that is Ll that matters.

My buddy is buying an XD in .40

I myself don't even see a point in calibre outside of .45 and 9mm as a primary/first pistol. But if you get it for dirt cheep and you like it, it's all good.

As long as the projectile can pass the FBI test through a few layers of denim, its an ok choice.
