We've got some security camera folks here.  

 

Looking for a wireless preferred, possibly wired security camera for the Gramps to put on their front porch to see who's there as to if they need to get up to answer the door or if it was just UPS ringing the door to say a package was delivered.  No recording, just a live view of whats out there to a separate display.  Something easy for not so tech inclined people.  I haven't done much research yet, just presented to me this morning.  My brother and I would be doing the install/training on it and then I would be future tech support, but looking for something easy.  No home automation, no use other than who is on the front porch, ability to add a second camera would be nice as well.  IR Illumination is nice but not mandatory.  

Live feed and not just motion activated would be nice as well.  

Wired is always easier from a user standpoint, worse in a setup standpoint.  At that it could an el cheapo camera and a cheap monitor.  If you need wireless I haven't ever looked.

I have the same feeling as Sean, or buy an all in one system.  Not that I trust it, but it would probably be overkill for what you want and easy peasy.

 

I saw an infomercial for a camera system on TV once.  If they can sell it to someone buying a snuggie and life alert...
