Since the car has over 50k miles and the factory converter is "faulty" I can put on an aftermarket one. Would be stupid IMO to only replace the converter when I can open up the whole exhaust system.

Curious on grandfathering. Would assume if something was built legally then it remains legal at least for a period of time.

A friend of mine has been running hydrolic fluid in his F350 for years now. Not every tank, but no one has caught him. And they are pulling over randomly to check too. So your sleeper Caddy isn't going to get any attention.

no really.. i do not want another car i dump money into .. i want it to go to work and back,  not care too much if it gets messed up ... and be able to tow and stow ... its a 4K temp throw away truck that should last me 5 years.

Father is going to be teaching me to weld tomorrow, then I can start on the wall cage.

A good skill to have and fun to build stuff. What style of welding are you learning? TIG, MIG, Arc, or just Brazing?

im wrong they were 22's but the sad part is.. they didnt have the correct offset... so they put two 1/4 inch spacers on the front.. so the wheels and tires stuck out about an inch - 2 inchs ...  sad.. its going to roster tail all over that car...

Put the ignition wire to any switched source then put the yellow power wire straight to the battery or something that has a strong constant 12v that you wont overload.

Ok thanks, guess that's why at high volume radio shuts off too. This old truck has 3 wires only, had to start guessing.
