Couldn't you go from the hu to the speaker level inputs on the amp?

I was going to add rca's to the headunit, but these JBL greenedge units are digitally encrypted (no analog signal). My only option is to go this route unless I want to replace everything. The shop I bought the amp at just finished one up in a camry with the same factory system and they were telling me about it. I smiled and said yep I am getting ready to do the same thing because of that.

Sorry I misunderstood your question the first time.

I have to use the output of the jbl amp to get an analog signal which is 100 watts so they claim. I think that might be a little too much for high level input to filter without inducing noise. I would rather be safe than have a noise issue.

Makes sense.

Car manufacturers make it a pain when it comes to audio add-ons.

Honda's and acura's are the most user friendly.

You get a flat signal straight from the headunit.

I had called and talked to a tech at jbl and that is how I found that out. There are systems that you can use, they just cost too much currently. Back in the old days we just tore the factory headunits apart and solidered rca cables on the input side of the headunit amp.

Install completed. Man these new cars with the push button system are something. Finally found an accessory for the remote. Hits a little to hard for the wife so I turned the gain down a little.

It is not a bad car, but I try not to let things go and do them before needed.

She did happen to see there is a TRD bolt on supercharger for it and now thinks she needs that. I just laugh it off.
