Posted August 10, 201312 yr How would I go about flush mounting this? What bit, how to do it, etc. 2.65 cu. ft. box @ 30hz (XCON pre designed enclosure)
August 10, 201312 yr Author It's double baffle right? I would just add another layer to make it flush. And just have a weird 3rd front panel? Lol I guess that's an option.
August 10, 201312 yr Author You wouldn't be able to tell it's a 3rd baffle.Ah I get ya now. Wasn't quite grasping the idea, thanks!
August 10, 201312 yr Yeah that should work, but post a pic of the whole front. Typically you cut it before you glue the double baffle together.

August 10, 201312 yr You need to cut the recess before you cut the mounting hole if you want it to be round using a circle jig... A little too late for that. Add a 3rd layer like has been said...
August 10, 201312 yr wouldnt adding a 3rd layer add to the port length and therefore change tuning? or would it be too little of a difference to notice?

August 10, 201312 yr wouldnt adding a 3rd layer add to the port length and therefore change tuning? or would it be too little of a difference to notice?Adding a 3rd layer if I'm not mistaken would only change the displacement of the Sub, which would be a minimal difference for tuning.
August 10, 201312 yr Just put another layer on . Cut the hole the size of the sub and Use a strait flush bit to cut out the port hole out when its on.If you cant get the hole right on you can use the flush bit for the sub hole then sit the sub In and draw around the sub and cut it out with a jig saw Edited August 10, 201312 yr by frogcase2002
