bottom of coil to the next plate is 37.5MM then another 7.5MM until its only 70 percent saturated.  This of course doesn't account for stray flux which only adds to the xmax.  This is why Sanchez was able to play it on little power.  The coil stays nearly saturated for nearly the whole usable stroke of the suspension.
