Posted October 22, 201410 yr Yanked everything out of my trunk and am awaiting recones and baskets to build my 15s to 12s. Cutting down on weight and going back to cap banks, 6 banks of 6 3000F Maxwells. Laid the floor in with 2 cans of foam and fastened it down. Going to wait a few days to see if i have and major buckling from the foam before i proceed with building the rest of it. Will all be built in trunk. Have a ton of Kreg jig tools to get the job done. Will still be running my Tara HD 8000 till and if the HD 10k comes then ill swap them out. Car tends to like a lower peak and it was brought down a tad lower after using another bulk back on my doors. So ill do some MECA with it this coming season. Dropping almost 300 pounds of batts should help with the squat i had going on in the rear. Edited October 22, 201410 yr by 97maxima
October 24, 201410 yr Author nice! Thanks, going to build up the side walls Saturday since the foam has stopped creeping and seems set. Hopefully it will be playing next weekend
October 26, 201410 yr Author Putting in the majority of the work today on my 4th, going for 1 to 2.75 ratio. Could go larger or smaller. All of it will easily be modifiable tho. Dry fitting it now and using a pocket hole jig more the majority of the build. More pics to come after i pickup a few more 2x4s
October 27, 201410 yr Author Moving right along. Nearly 10 cubes inside the shell and that's stopping short of the back seat opening. Have the baffle to build tomorrow and the lid.
November 3, 201410 yr Author Well wrapping up the build in the next few days. Have to prime the front chamber, finishing gluing the subs and load then and then i can build the loading wall. Otherwise its wired minus some Shca ofc 8 gauge im waiting on for sub wiring. After its finished ill be working towards swapping out my last few batts for cap banks and may do a alt and amp upgrade.
November 4, 201410 yr Author Looks badass so far Thanks Looks good is that 4/0 weldingIts all 2/0 minus the alt runs to the rear which are in 4/0
November 5, 201410 yr I didn't know a red Dss logo on the dustcap was an option, looks good!Anything is available to be customized, so if Q didnt do them himself you could get them done yourself.
November 5, 201410 yr Author I didn't know a red Dss logo on the dustcap was an option, looks good! Red nail polish. Roughed up the silver with fine sandpaper and cleaned it up with rubbing alcohol .
November 10, 201410 yr Author Finally up and playing pretty satisfied so far. Subs need to loosen up and the loading wall needs tweaked.
November 11, 201410 yr Author How did it model with both tunings?Never modeled anything just built and shrunk the loading wall down. it plays decently flat from 30hz peaking at 44 and remains strong thru vehicle res.
