Well dad still can't talk or move. But he's coherant and eating. So we're getting somewhere. Once again My family and I thank you all for your thoughts and prayers

The prognosis doesn't look good I'm affraid. The doctors don't think dad will regain the use of his limbs. And are afraid he won't regain speech either.

Sorry to hear that, we'll keep hoping the docs are wrong.

I hope they are wrong too, I am crossing my fingers he will pull through!!! SO many people have overpowered the odds with their will, he can do it too.

I've seen it myself... my uncle had a major stroke where they said that he would be immobile and mute for the rest of his life. By the end of his rehab, he was just partially paralyzed on this right side.

Woo hoo . Dad's starting to show signs of his old self. The orderlys (sp?) were moving him to another bed so they could change the sheets. One of them accidentally bumped his head on the stand holding his IV. He shot the guy the bird Seems odd, but if you knew my dad that's a good sign
