Title says it all. It might protect when I first turn the ignition on,sometimes low volume, sometimes full tilt. Mind blown about it.

Readjusted the gains, checked my connections, checked voltage at the amp, lowest I seen it was 13.4 full tilt

Only way to find out is to swap it out and see if it happens to a different amp

this is a different amp,my other one failed from this

How and where is your amp grounded? Have you tried to change the ground?

was grounded at the strut tower with other amp, moved ground to rear deck. Both have been sanded down to bare metal, same issue with both locations.

Continuity & voltage check all your wiring. If it is happening to a second amp you have a problem.

Did this yesterday sir,yes I definitely have a problem.

Why not Ground to the frame

Unibody car, no frame to ground to.

My recommendation would be to run at least one dedicated ground wire back to your grounding point.

Also, does your DMM have a MIN/MAX or HI/LO setting capability?  You could use it to capture the highest and lowest voltage reading without having to stand over the meter the whole time.

Definitely going to be found a ground run front to back. My meter only has peak hold.

Removed my rear seat yasterday, check all my connections, played full tilt for almost an hour no issues.

Think I found it,will post pictures

After some Google research, amp touching metal is no good, can cause a protect issue.

Hope this is the problem

Will be absolutely awesome if it's this easy to fix the problem!!

It made sense to me seeing how I didn't have an issue until installed the seat back yesterday

Wasn't the problem

Noticed my voltage spike a few days ago so I removed my voltage booster.Seems a lot more stable know, been few days without a protection issue.

Here's a small flex video without the voltage booster.

I saw a glimpse of 16v on my 80prs and it's not the most accurate. Voltage started getting very erratic also. Jumping between 11-15vdc at any given time.
