anyhow , i did the front section of my 2002 2dr blazer  with 2 layers of 190 mil vibraflex  , cooking it on with a map gas torch , yeah not much fun when it's already 90 degrees out !

Yes, I have layered up a roof, it is worth it.  If you want to double up, check for the least supported expanses of metal to double up on.

i did just the front section there , the rest i went with 1/2'' mdf , kerfed it , then used a crap load of PL3x . but before i layed up the mdf , i filled the roof channels with strips of Vibraflex

I have a love hate relationship with installing sound dampening but it's so worth it at the end.

so worth it when use a stiffening deadener to stop panel flex !  flapping panels suck
