I see that the mounting depth on the 15" BTL is 8.25"; so Im assuming the mounting depth with the 3rd mag would be a inch more @ 9.25"? Would 1/2" between the back of the woofer and the enclosure be enough to let the sub vent? Cuz 1/2" is all I can do

If that's absolutely all you can do, then that's what you'll have to do. Should work ok, but I've always left a few inches.

I had the same question, posed to Nick and he told me there should be at least 1" behind the magnet. He said something about the dustcap blowing off or something from pressure issues. I am doing 2" to be on the safe side. . .

Nah, that's for the SSD and Q's, the BL's and the BTL's do not have a pole vent, so you don't have to worry about it....you can sit the backplate on the back of the box for all that matters.
