hey all

I was wondering in your installs with Fi subs

1. What gauge speaker wire do you use for the subs ?

2. What gauge power wire for the amps powering the subs...??

3. how many watts going to you subs (per sub)

I am in the process of finalizing my system and was going to do a look over all my wires....

thank you all i appreciate it

Cliff

8 guage for sub

1/0 for amp

not sure how many watts, but if my electrical was up to par it would be over 2000 i think.

8 guage on sub to 4 guage into amp, and 2/0 power and grounds

so the coils you use 8 guage then from sub to amp 4 guage ?

how many watts per sub you got?

8 AWG to sub

0 AWG from bat/ground to d block then 4 AWG from d block to amp

~1400 rms to BL 12 @ 14.4v

to be honest with you not alot, im running 4 ssd's per soundstream 6500d but that only puts out maybe 3k on 12volts, the amp accepts upto 4 guage speaker wire so i figured what the hell go for it

I used 8 guage to each coil since that's what the terminals will accept (and my amps)

2x 1/0

2 memphis 4ks on 2 btls- who knows after voltage drop.

1. I currently use 12gauge.

2. I use 0gauge. If I ever go with more or bigger amps a second run will be put in.

3. I have roughly 900 watts going to each Q 12.

this in an istall im about to do for a friend.

2 runs of 1/0 power and ground (4 total)

3 batts

12 guage wire to the subs

1000 watts per sub on 4 15" SSD's

power.....0

speaker... 10 i think, dont remember

watts...... little more than 1000 watts rms

12" Fi Q

Wow i honestly didn't know most of the users here use 8 gauge for the subs

Keep'm coming....

I had 10 gauge on mine

1K to each sub

all 0 gauge on amps...

gonna get me some 8 gauge for my Q's when i order them

8 to subs

4/0 from front to back

1/0 across 10 batts and a 12 f stinger cap

and 4 to amp

about 2500 to 1 15btl

will double when i get the other 15 in

did my first bass race with the sub cant wait to get my coil inso ill have both 15 in veryvery happy with my sub

12 ga to speaker 0/0 for power/ground to amp

12 ga to speaker 0/0 for power/ground to amp

This thread is like four years old. :attempt:

then why not

10 gauge to subs

1/0 to amps

2 18's gen 2 btls on 2 aq 3500D.1 strapped

8 gauge to sub (raptor wiring) and then 0 gauge ground and for amplifier, and all 0 gauge under the hood! 2000-3000 rms to 1 18" BTL N2 @ 14.4 volts tested!

Lol at everyone commenting at old thread.. :) but since it's up again, I use 12awg for speaker to amp, 4awg power/ground, 1200w to 1 Fi ssd :)

Is there a difference in power wire & speaker wire?.. or are they interchangeable.. ( do i need more than 12awg for my sub to amp?..)

Nope. 12 is more than fine

8 gauge to subs

4 runs 1/0 gauge to batts and amps

2 18" btls on 2 US AMP md3d 2000rms ea
