So i finally received my new saz-1500d and i had a question regarding the power wire.

is 0ga wire necessary to run this amp? i have a run of 4ga right now and i am trying to avoid the trouble of rewiring if i can.

thanks,

matt

I didn't have too many problems with running 4 gauge initially when I got the amp but I was only running it at about 2 ohms with the gains set really low. But I suggest using only 0 gauge for 1 ohms or lower. @ 2 ohms on 4 gauge it is kind of cutting it and may be a strain on the amp and ur electrical depending on a few variables.

Originally I ran it on just 1 run of 4 ga. @ 1 ohms, but after my first comp. I ran more 4 ga. I run 2 runs of 4 ga. per amp right now. but I am still worried that it won't be enough when they are strapped @ .5 ohms each.

Yupp depend son how long the run of 4ga is...

Audio how did you run 2 runs of 4ga to the saz ?

I mean did you go two 4ga to a distro block then to the amp ?

did you just stuff both into the input ?

1/0 into a dual 4 out fuse holder (memphis audio) than 2 runs all the way back to the amp. They fit pretty well in the 1/0 spot. so I wouldn't call it stuffing per se.
