BTL is getting beat up right now by the 3k. Might try and mount a Ti to it resize to a 15"? I think so

that is true, but light the road up man. If you aim downward enough it shouldn't be a problem. I drive every morning to work at 4AM, and after hitting a deer last year I switched up my projectors and highs/lows/fogs. As long as its not illegal, light it up =]

1. Product: 12" Fi BTL UFO Dual 2 Ohm Fully loaded with HiXm coil. 2. Specs: 2k RMS but will take 3k HiXmcoil (longer coil to bring more xmax) .250" spacers Hammered gray painted basket RE XXX Dustcap to cover imperfections Motor boot and gasket included. 3. Description/Condition: Reconed about 3 months ago. (May) 10/10 functional: This has been one of my favorite drivers thus far. It is is 100% working condition. Can't get pics of coils yet as I just realized my multimeter is shot. I'll try borrowing the neighbors today to take pictures. 7/10 cosmetic: Some glue drips from spider landing. Little bit of glue splotches on the top of the motor. Glue was a bit runny from having it in the freezer. No chips in ferrite. Bottom plate in good condition. Dustcap: I put an RE XXX dust cap on it after I blew the original Fi Dust cap off the day after I reconed it. Had this woofer in a larger enclosure and it didn't like it on the power I was giving it. Built a box to specs and its been a sound experience I'll never forget. PM me with any questions about the woofer's conditions or shipping quotes. Hate to see this go, but I need to fund a new build. Had this woofer on 3k on good electrical. 4. Price: : 275+ Shipping PM me for a shipping quote. Paypal only. US 48 States only please. 5. Pictures: Video of this beast.

give or take, you are making 1400W with capabilities to make more. Your truck might be a big bad machine, but you still need to make under hood changes in order to compensate for the pull on your electrical. -

upgrading your batteries is still a good option to not put your truck's electrical system in jeopardy; no matter how the batteries act in a circuit. A compromise between good electrical and smart tuning is key. Are you planning on reconing the woofer? If so maybe we can get onto enclosure and wiring. -
have fun. loved my zcon

your factory alt is not necessarily high output. It puts out probably 200A to handle your 2 batteries. One is for accessories and the other is strictly a starting battery. I would recommend upgrading your accessory battery, doing the big 3. and you should be good. What kind of cable do you use? Your LPF should be somewhere around 80Hz, bass boost @ 0, You should customize your eq on your head unit to ear. (Doors play highs, woofer plays lows) I wouldn't mess with the JL amp if it was me, but since you are matching it might be kinda nice. -

are you using a dmm to check your final nominal load? -

the I heat ring is a quality of the motor. theres no changing now. You should be able to run this woofer @ the impedance you stated without any problems. Have you invested into any electrical upgrades? and what position are the knobs on your amp? -
