Hello all....I'm a new guy from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. There seems to be quite a few of ya from Texas, so I'll add I'm formally from Bonham, Tx between Sherman and Paris if ya dont know. I have a Chevy Silverado with a boss hu(birthday gift), RF Fanatic P 4" components, Kicker CVR, with a Bazooka BA1500 and a cheap 2 channel amp for the components. Looking to redo everything one piece at a time. Working at Wal-mart doesnt exactly give me an abundant amount of money to spend. Anyways, I'll be posting some questions and look forward to share my somewhat knowledge where it permits. Jess

Good Evening from San Antonio TX. I am very lucky to have found this forum and appreciate the opportunity to share information and ideas from quite a bit of history in the 12 volt arena. My current project is a 2007 Tahoe; very stealth. I'm in the planning stages at present. I plan on utilizing the factory changer, and keeping the steering wheel controls and XM along with OnStar. So thats the plan. Now for the selection of equipment and execution of the install. I do have an EQL Audio Control in house so I guess you could say I've started <G>. Anyway, I appreciate the venue and look forward to the assistance and assisting. At 62 years of age, if it's too loud…

Hello! I'm new here. I've been browsing tons of forums for an idea of what to do. I was laid off from my job about 3 month ago. I've been looking for a job since then, but did not even get a single interview. I worked as a web designer for a publishing company for the last 5 years. Looks like www.soundsolutionsaudio.com is an active forum with active members and may be someone has some experience working as a freelance web designer. May be "Newbie Sign IN" category is not the most appropriate for this question, but I want to try anyways to get some opinions before I go ahead with my life. I'm wondering if it is possible in the current economy to find work for a freelance …

so i've been running my system for a while (since 04 i think) and now my 'new' gear has become 'old' and in need of a reup. im running 2 12" cerwin vega v-max 2ohm dvc's. both on a 2 channel audiobahn (i told you it was old) amp rack series. according to the amp specs, it was running 500 watts rms per channel. i've done the big 3 upgrade and im using 0 guage power wire kit from directed. so far the only thing thats staying is the power wire. im going to use one MTX TA91002 amp for my new set up. i got it cause i couldnt pass up the great price it was going for. btw, im on a $800 budget, and my new amp just used up $200 of it. i need help deciding on what subs to use with…

Hello from Chicago to everyone on the forum! I have been reading different posts and build logs quite regularly in the last few months in order to gain the most amount of information as possible. I have been installing car audio since 1993, but I took sort of a hiatus for a number of years since I was in the Army and then college; although I did have had a couple of builds since moving to Chicago. I am just finally getting around to signing in…officially. I purchased some audio equipment quite a few months ago, but I am just finally getting around to installing in my new car…a 1998 Honda Civic… (I was hit by a hit and run-drunk driver last year, which totaled out my othe…

Hey everyone I'm from Naperville, IL and I'm 18. I'm still learning when it comes to car audio and I'm hoping to learn some more from here. Right now my setup is 2 12" Kicker CVRs pushed by a zx750.1. Yeah, not the best set up at all but I'm looking to upgrade as soon as I get a new car which should be in the next month or 2. I'm pretty much set on a 15" Icon or 15" Q. Basically just looking for something louder and better sounding than my CVRs. Anyways, glad to be here.

This is a repost from Here, I thought it was quite important for people to realize this when they are posting. Definition of Objective and Subjective Objective is a statement that is completely unbiased. It is not touched by the speaker’s previous experiences or tastes. It is verifiable by looking up facts or performing mathematical calculations. Subjective is a statement that has been colored by the character of the speaker or writer. It often has a basis in reality, but reflects the perspective through with the speaker views reality. It cannot be verified using concrete facts and figures. When to Be Objective and Subjective Objective : it is important to be objective …

I was looking for advise. I think I may be interested in a RL-s 12 for my trunk, but reading the specs and recommendations it seems that it will not fit my needs. I want to put it in my 2005 TL without gobbeling up all my trunk space. Should I be leaning more towards a RL-p 12"? Would a RL-p get me good low bass that I'm looking for? Would 2 12" RL-p's do the Job of one RL-s 12" for the same trunk Space? Any recommendations on an AMP to push the 2 RL-p's? I currently have a RF 301s that ain't doing jack for me. If I went with the 2 12" RL-p's would a bandpass box do the trick? Thanks

Hello, My name is Paul aka walwalka, I'm in ohio and have known about SSA for a while. But have never signed up. Little about me, I'm a basshead with a limited budget. So I work with what I have and I'm trying to make it as nice as possible. I'm also kind of a nerd, I love computers and gaming when I have time. I have a build log I will post up shortly. Hey everyone first time posting so hopefully not doing it wrong. My question is has anyone had issues using jl fix 86. I have 17 Silverado with factory Bose. Only thing factory I’m using is the head unit the issue I have is my mids have always been kinda flat I’m pretty certain it’s a calibration issue it always says it’s calibrated and all lights green but I literally returned speakers thinking something was wrong with them then discovered re calibrating the fix will make it sound different sometimes but always shows it calibrated. I’m thinking maybe different vehicles may require extra steps to acomplish proper calibration. I did get it a little better by turning gains…
