ok.....Im lost completely on this one......I rewired my whole system, all the speakers to the 4 channel, rewired the rcas, the remote, regrounded everything, the whole nine yards.....The alternator whine was almost none existant till i tuned the amps. Started with a louder alternator whine, then i heard my speakers popping as i changed tracks, so i figured id try to reground my head unit. After i get that ready to reground i turn the car on, i could be about an inch from metal and everything popped, with no spark. As soon as i touch metal, everything pops again. Hi there, curious about connecting a mono amp / 2x10" subwoofer setup. My subwoofer setup is pretty cheap, I know, but I just wanna make sure I do it right. The subs are Pioneer TS-W251R 10" 4 Ohm: Output Power (4 Ohm, <=1% THD) 60 Watts x 2 Output Power (4 Ohm Bridged, <=1% THD) 150 Watts x 1 Output Power (2 Ohm, <=1% THD) 75 Watts x 2 The amp is Infinity Reference 1300a: 200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (300 watts RMS at 2 ohms) So obviously, I have two pairs of subwoofer terminals in the back of my enclosure, and I have two pairs of terminals on the amp itself. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Planet Audio, in particular the Big Bang line of amps. I've heard mixed opinions but for some reason the aesthetic's intrigue me. also.... I'm gonna be adding an additional battery to two different installs with similar power requirements and I wanted to know if anyone knew of a good isolator for a decent price (hence my username) thanks

For most of the enclosures iv seen, they have separate chambers for each sub. Is this the way it is recommended to be done? Or will it also work with having both subs sealed in one box? Im simply trying to expand my knowledge about box building and I know you guys will help.

So Ive been thinking about it and seems like it would be fun. I know nothing about running in comps and would like a little info on how. I know there is a ton of different classes to be in but I dont have a clue about them. Do they go by how much power you run, how many and how big your subs are, or if you have a wall or somethin? I always see these posts about going to shows and you guys make it sound fun. Id appreciate it if I could get a little rundown on what might be best for me with the stuff in my sig. Hey guys well ive sold my system and am getting a job soon to get a new one cause i had to pay for alot of random things the begining of this school year. Ok so im trading my Memphis MCD2500 for a Kinetik HC2400 and 220 cash. So i want an amp around 2500-3000 rms Multiple or Very loud single sub (leaning towards new T3 lineup or TC Sounds) i want this setup to be able to sound good and hit the looowws since the 220 is prob gunna go into my box cause i wanna get a custom one the budget for the amp and sub/subs is around $1000-1200 Thanks

I know PPI had been slipping, but how does the new stuff stack up after the purchase by Epsilon and a total overhaul of all their lines?at least that's what I understand. I'm looking at the art series 6.5 comps(2sets) and the phantom series p900.5 amp with a dcon 10 out back sealed @ 1ft^3. I'm not looking to shatter any records or compete, just lookin for clean and fairly loud for yer average daily driver.

Can I hook up the remote wire on my amp straight to the power wire on my amp?

Im trying to learn more about hlcd's and I only know of two brand which is illusion audio ch 1 and the krypt audio one. The illusion audio is cheaper but I cant find a website to even purchase them. Can someone just do me a favor and just post some links to different brands of HLCD's?

so im going to be buying 2 Fi bl's 12". im thinking 2.5 cubes per a sub since there gonna be runnin off a single aq2200d amp. so what should i do about the port. im thinking around 70 sq" of port which would be 4.6 inches wide. what are ur suggestions for a box that would run this set up well?

Heres a design I did... Took about an hour to finish and draw up. Its a little off from what It wanted to be, and Sketchup was giving me some problems, but it was just for fun. So check it out. Its pretty damn big, at almot 54 cubes external. Never really designed a bandpass before, but got a formula from a friend last night and it sounded great so I went from 2 12s to 16 12s. The credit for the formula goes to Jethro Eason. He said that it should work well for just about any 12" sub you can find. Anyways, heres the pics.

Is there any way to find out online the results of an IASCA metering that was done last week at the spring fling carshow? I competed on Sat, but have to leave (**** work), and I never found out where I placed. As of Sat. I was in 1st with a 143.5 in SPL single 15". Hi there guys. I'm working on deciding what I want to buy for two door 2001 Jimmy. I have a Kenwood KDC-X492 headunit installed already, along with Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5" components in the doors. So I'm building a box for my BTL this next weekend. I've ordered two 3/4"x9"x18" sheets of plexiglass, and two of these 3w high powered wide angle LEDs on an aluminum base. They'll be going inside the box, and you'll be able to see the badass backside of the BTL while its playing. They're the same ones Steve Meade used in the 2x T15K Escalade build, so I know they're going to be super bright. Here is Plasma LEDs site if anyone is interested.
