I bought a 00 mustang gt with the crappy Mach 460 system, the previous owner replaced the stock head unit w/ a Kenwood DDX418, love the stereo but it sounds horrendous with the stock sound system, I have compiled the speakers so far: DB drive speed series 6.5 components for the front and Hypnotic Zen 6x7 components for the rear. I need help choosing an amp ( I know i need something that is 4x80) and I need help choosing a set of 10" subs ( I was thinking of 2 kicker cvs subs in a flush mounted box) and an amp to power them. would anyone recommend running 2 hifonics brutus 1606d mono class amps to a 15" fi btl sub at 2ohms and connecting each voice coil separately if no. why not?

I installed my big 3 about 2 months ago, and I was in a hurry to get it done. I want to help shield the wires from the heat and possibly change my battery terminal to a ring-style terminal. Will Techflex be enough? Or should I put on some wire loom as well? I'd like to be able to just put on some color matching techflex to my power, ground, and amp cables, but if the AZ heat is going to beat down on those wires this summer, I'll wrap some wire loom around them if need be. Yeh it only took me since april to put my system together and now everything is getting installed yeh baby. I've got my Saz1500d powering 2 Fi SSD 12's and a sax100.4 powering Focal 165vrs and 130cvx's. I got the jl audio 1/0 wiring kit all powered by a yellow top optima I'm having sound advice do everything including the big 3. And finally my Avic F90BT has come. I will provide pics soon hopefully it's funny I couldn't sleep well last night I was like a little kid on Christmas eve.

I am tryin to build a blow through for my truck. I was wondering that if i build a simple ported box and then cut the hole for the subs and port to come through do i add that in to port calculator ? I thiking seriously about nightshade 18s I was thinking 5 cubes per sub tuned to 35 htz.. Any advice on the best way to go about the blow through

i was taking my rear deck lid out then i wanted to turn my system on and the subs didnt work...the little blue thin wire came out (the remote wire i think) and i need to know where to put it.its connected on the sub amp i just need to know where the other end goes....im pretty sure it doesnt go on my cap but i dont know alot about that.......thanks guys

First off I have been wanting to try out new subs so a couple months ago I started a thread asking which subs you guys would recommend for my application and two 12" Icons seemed to be the most strongly suggested. Right now I'm running a RD Alpha 12" (2000 rms) sub on a Cadence ZRS-8 amp (1500rms @ 1 ohm) in a 2011 Mazda 3 sedan in a box tuned @ 33hz. The sub does get decently loud on bass heavy songs but if it's heavy metal or pretty fast beats, it doesn't hit as hard, but still has a little bump to it. My question is, if I order two 12" Icons, and if I put one of the subs in my current box while I work on building the box to hold 2 subs, will I get the same output or is…

Hey everyone. I have two 10" type R's in a ported box being pushed by a sundown saz-1000d. i wanted to do some experimenting by inverting my subs to see if more air space would give me better/bigger sound. only problem is one of them would be hanging right over my saz-1000d. would the magnet on the type r interfere with my amp? I'd hate to lose it to a dumb experiment. I hope i can get an educated answer, but if everyone is uncertain ill just keep away. thankyou much!

just lucked out and hopped on craigslist this afternoon and managed to happen upon a sweet deal for 2 SSA DCON 15s in a 7 cubes sealed box so I finally have ssa subs now all I need is a financial aid refund to get everything else and decide if im keeping one sub and selling everything else or keeping both and just redoing the box since it wont fit right in the jeep these things are so much nicer up close then in pictures lol the build quality looks awesome I just cant wait to hear them too bad it might be a few months

I'm going to be running 2 1,000w Sundown amps and 2 10" SSA Icons and today my alternator went so I guess it's a great time to upgrade. Any recommendations? I really have no idea what I'm looking for, but definitely would prefer something more budget-oriented as I don't have a lot of money right now and need to get my car back in working order.
