Ok here is something I came to. People buy the most exspensive batteries and high output alternators, and still experience voltage drop at 11 volts and steady decline. What do most people do to solve voltage drop.

I'm in the middle of my girl's system install in her '01 civic and am having a tough time deciding were to place the tweeter The tweeters are too deep to flush mount on the door so I would have to surfarce mount if I put them on the doors or I could flush mount them in the kickpanels. Or maybe flush mount in front of the door handle? What do you guys suggest Also can start build log pics but this is a fairly simple install with f/r comps, two amps, one 12", 100 sqft sound deadening and cd player. Do you guys want the log?

My budget for wire is about $1000 and $1500 for RCA cables. I want the really good SQ ones so my amps can really deliver well. I don't want to loose any of my SQ along the way. Please recommend the best withing my budget and post links if you have them. I am planning to utilize the space under the rear bench of a boat for a sub for listening in open space. I would like to get the most punch with this volume and I'm looking for recommendations. My overall goal is a balance between loud efficient bass and a decent flat response for bass frequencies suitable for most kinds of music. After MDF board thickness, I have an internal space of 3.5 cubic feet to work with. Since this is a boat installation, I assume that it would be advisable to consider an enclosure designed for home use as they are better suited for open space for this application. If I went with two RL-p12's, each would have 1.75 cubic feet available volume. If …

Doing this for a guy on CA.com. Going into an Envoy with charcoal gray interior & woodgrain trim, so I'm trying to match it up, but I've never seen the vehicle. 9^3 @ 35Hz with 106^2 of port. Sub will fire up. Double baffle, window bracing, and 45's in the corners. Some dummy got ahead of himself and started painting before doing the sub cut out. Wooden rings will extend port openings and surround sub.

I have a 1966 Chevy C-10 Pickup and I am pulling the system out of my car to put in the Truck when I get the brakes fixed. Anyway, I have been surfing the web like crazy and I can't find a dash install kit for the truck So I can put my HU in it. Do they even make one? Or am I going to have to have someone cut into the dash to make a custom fitted one?

Well, those of you that read the build log know of he troubles I've had with my system and car. Combine that with the fact that we traded the Jeep in on the wife's new G35 and I'm left with nothing to haul stuff in. The decision has been made to sell my car and get a truck. The bad news on that is that I like driving my little go-kart and I'll miss it. The good news is that I'll finally have a truck again, I get to start from scratch on the system (some things will carry over and thus the point of this thread which I'll get to in a minute) and I'm getting a G37 at the end of the year to fill the performance car void left by by the departure of the SRT-4. Now to the po…

If you had 3 exterior 6" aeroports would it effect them in a negative way to have them entering near the coners of the box or at the lower part? Or is it better to have them in the middle? Thanks, Brock
