I just bought a 2011 Mazda 3 sedan and already bought a Pioneer avh-3200bt along with everything that it needs to get hooked up (I hope), haha guess i'll find out when I hook it up. Now I am looking for speakers. My last system had two 6.5" Polk Audio DB651s, and two Infiniti reference 9623i 6x9's which were just powered by the HU and they sounded good to me, but now I want to get speakers that will get very loud and stay crisp. I already have a 12" RD Alpha V.2 sub which will be powered @ 1500rms so bass isn't a concern with the speakers. I know there is lots of different reviews on speakers so I am hoping that I can get some opinions from people off of here that can hel…

  10. I have been waiting for quite some time to finally arrive at the point on what setup I will be using. I was considering 3 IA DP21's or 4 Jbl W15Gti. The amp I am using will be the stetsom 7KD. If I were to go with the DP's it would be in a 24-26cube enclosure at 28hz. The Jbl's would be in a 20cube enclosure at 28hz. I cannot find a DP t/s parameters to factor into the equation. I at least wanted to use the DP15 subwoofer to compare in WinIsd Pro. What do you guys think? If anyone has any t/s parameters on the DP's let me know.

Ok, here is my dilemma. I currently have a ford ranger. Later this year I will be pickin up a chevy silverado (4 door). my wife has given me a choice with the two. I could either do a fiberglass lid on the Silverado and do a blowthrough with, perhaps 3 15" BTL's or a can put a camper shell on the ranger and build a wall with something like 2 18" BTLs. The Silverado will be my daily driver, so I think she is wanting me to do the system in that and makin the ranger for nothing but haulin stuff. I was curious as to what you guys would do. I am in a split decision between the two and am hopin your opinions could help me make a better decision. THANX

so heres the deal. 2 SSAicon 12's . 2 Phoenix Gold V1502's. i'm not 100% sure but it seems like a 1.5 (i think) 2 12 sealed box. the amount of power the SSA's are amazing. anyways so i have a 98 malibu (folding back seats) right now i have the subs facing the back. i'm sick of having the box sliding around and afraid of damage so i'm going to put some L brackets to brace it. but first should i have the subs facing the back or should they be facing the front?

$30 brand new. Hell, I couldn't imagine even finding a plate amp this cheap. I got the whole thing for a fraction of the plate amp. Guess I'll have to set fire to the old CPU subbox, and plug the driver into the 240 plug.

  16. Hey guys I'm saving up for the BTL 15" setup as I stated before in a different topic.. I'm running into quite a few money issues and the process is sadly being delayed for me which really sucks for now I just have 2 12" kicker CVR's doing around a weak 115 in a sealed box.. I heard MANY great things about ported boxes and want to try to build one but I'm just 17 and never done this before and I figure now is a great time to learn. I went to www.homedepot.com to try and find some 3/4th" MDF wood as someone on here told me to do but was unable to find any as far as the -online site- goes. I know building another sealed box is easy just 4 panels and 2 12" holes in one very …

I have a whine sound i my front speakers, sorta like an alternator whine . It get a little louder with motor rpms. But here is the odd thing, it only does it when car is really hot and when i take it out of garage and its hot. If its night time or cool outside and car has been seting outside no noise. Any ideas on what it could be? oh and its only two of the four channels on the amp making noise.

Hello guys, Need you advice on my automotive audio issue. I had changed by setup to Zed LEVIATHAN III from Helix and the current speaker are from Seas. So far, i like my current setup compared to the previous which used Morel. However I had encountered whining sound from my tweeter whenever i on my HU or the system. The whining sound was constant. There was no increase in the whinning sound when i increase the accerlator. I encountered this whinning sound after installing Zed LEVIATHAN III. I would like to know if LEVIATHAN user encounter this problem too? I had read through about the write-up about the noises from the speaker. I had done the followings: 1…

My old Uberwoofer has really seen better days. There is tear in the surround, dents in the cone, oh and it survived a high temp garage fire as well as subsequent water immersion. Last I knew (circa 2005), RE among others were willing to do one off woofer rebuilds... I haven't followed CA very much at all in the last couple of years, but anyone have recommendations on rebuilding this old girl? SQ biased... SPL is for noobs -Nick

Well I'm listening to my music loud last night and noticed my lights seems to be dimming quite heavily, more than I recall. Then after playing music for about 10 minutes my sub cuts out then comes back on and cuts out. So I turn the sub off. I figured maybe a tinsel lead failed because I didn't smell any burned voice coil scent. Then I start to think. Man that sub was expensive how could it break like that on me? I'm only feeding it 900 watts rms. I thought you could power this sub into the 1kw range. Then I start thinking about how much shipping will cost to send it back to stereo integrity. Today after school I decide to check the sub. I hook it up to a shelf…
