I have a 12inch dcon. It says that 2.25cu.ft. is "optimal" and the smallest you should build it is 1.75cu.ft. Lets say they are both tuned the same. What is the difference in sound, etc? What is lost or gained by making the box that much bigger? Also, I listen to mostly rock with a decent amount of rap music thrown in there. I'm looking for a nice middle ground tuning and a box that can be easily moved if needed. I was considering 2.0cu.ft. tuned to 32hz. Would you suggest something different? Thanks. two weeks ago I installed a kenwood ddx6905s a pare of 6.5 and 6x9 rockford fosgate prime speakers a 12 in ssa demon in a 1.25cf sealed box after displacement powered by a fosgate prime r500x1d in my 2014 corolla the speakers sound grate but the sub does not the bass sounds muddy my 7 year old dcon in the same size box still sounds as good as the day I got it is this a eq problem with the kenwood I set my gains with my liumy lm2001

I am aiming for more sq than spl. working with a small budget but so far I have: headunit-pioneer 590 speakers-pheonix gold rsd 6.5 amplifier- hifonics txi 4406 Now I just need help deciding on sub and sub amp. I was thinking of 1 10", but i am not sure if this will be enough bass for a civic. Again i do not need spl, just something to sound tight while in the car. Hey guys, I just wanted your opinions on what enclosure would be better in terms of "loudness". That may be defined differently for some of you, but I'm looking for a low boomier type of bass. I'm not sure what setup I have planned for will be loudest though. Here's what I got so far: Setup 1: 1 12" Fi Q in a 2.5 cu ft ported enclosure @ 32 hz, running 900w @ 2 Ohms. OR Setup 2: 2 12" Fi Q in a 2.5 cu ft sealed enclosure, both wired down to run 600w each @ 1 ohm. The reason I don't do both speakers in a ported enclosure is because I don't have 4-5 cubes of space to offer in my car trunk. Gotta put the groceries somewhere, you know? This is going to go in a 07 or 08 dodge charger cause i have to ditch my beloved truck. So far i plan i running 3 10" Q's in the trunk in a IB setup. That is about as far as I have gotten cause I have no experience at all when it comes to setting up speakers for mids and highs. i got about 700$ to spend and im thinking this is what im gonna do 1. (4) 18" mach 5 audio MJ subs all single 4 ohm 2. power it with (2) 2200 power acoustik 2 channel amps note: might get the 2600 3. kicker 4 gauge wire kit 4. custom sealed box with subs facing up this will be going into a 2002 escalade and i have the 3rd row seat took out and my last set-up was a kicker 1200.1 with a 15 inch L7 but do u think if i go with this setup it would out pump (2) 15 inch L7 subs? i know these are SQ subs but they should get very loud knowing im getting 4 of them

Hi guys, I've been a member here for quite a while and every time I needed help with anything audio you guys know exactly what's best and offer the best advice. With that being said, I'mtrying to figure out what's best to put in a 2011 Chevy Silverado LT Crew cab under the back seat. I've found pre made boxes online for 10s and 12s, but I can't figure out what sub to pick. Nothing crazy, I don't even plan to hit over 1000Watts with two 12s. I was looking for input on what you guys would suggest? Note: probably going to be powered with what's I'm my closet (Alpine m1000).
