OK, Well I have tried a few things and nothing worked. But first I will tell you my situation. I have a 92 Ford Ranger xlt and a FI BL 15 in THIS Box with a Pyle Audio 2200 amp. My problem is that When the box and sub are in the cab of my truck and the head unit is off or on it doesn't matter. I receive a very loud buzzing sound when I turn the key on. Here is a video below to explain what happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JuZPgoYyYk Please help me as much as you guys can.

Why does one need two RCA cables (i.e. red and white) to plug into a mono channel subwoofer amplifier? It seems to play just fine with only one "channel" plugged in... Why is the subwoofer output "left and right"? Thanks for answering my stupid question.

I will be soon upgrading some components in my system. I have a new SAZ-1500d v.2 that will be paired up with an Xcon 12. I will also be getting a DC Power 180 amp alternator and will do the Big 3 also. I just have some questions. I haven't ever worked on a system dealing with this much power, and just want to make sure I have everything that I need. First, my current setup is a dual amp setup using Rockford 1000-1bd amp and alpine pdx-4.100. I used a 1 Farad capacitor (Ya, I know ) basically as a distrubution block for those amps. Electrical is stock. The capacitor will go away when I upgrade, so I have been looking at distribution blocks. I know I will need a…

Hey guys so I have just finished the new build as some of you have seen in the sundown section and the last step i want to do is to seal off the trunk to from the cabin. A buddy of mine said to use expanding foam! Notice in the pic under neath at the top of the sub box there is a 2.5inch gap I want to fill up and about 1-2inch on each side of the box I want to put expanding foam in. now my questions are 1. how many cans will i need 2. is there a specific name to look for or is it all the same 3. how do i do it? just point and shoot? 4. what tips can you recommend 5. how do I remove expanding foam? 6. is there an alternative to expanding foam something that works bett…

Just wanted to get a feel for how many of you buy from dealers, online, direct from the factory of only buy used i.e. ebay, craigslist, ssa.com, classified. If you compete at all, I am really interested to find out where you get your stuff. 1. Local Dealer 2. Online Store 3. Factory Direct 4. Used from craigslist, ebay, ssa, etc.

I am stumped on this and it may just be something simple. Alright I am running an MS8 to (2) kicker IX 500.4s. Each amp is bridged for the front stage (one amp for horns, the other for mids). For some reason only the right side gets signal. I can mess around and get both sides to play by mixing the RCAs around. I am using RCA splitters on each channel from the MS8 to go into all the RCA inputs on the amplifiers. I'm lost

My Pioneer 690ub powers on, I can flip through the menus, and set everything. But, I don't have sound from any of my speakers. I tried them on a stock radio, so they aren't blown. so I'm thinking it's the head unit speaker outputs. If my head unit outputs are blown, can I still hook up a 2-channel amp to my front 6.5's? Or do I have to replace my whole head unit? Trying to get my sounds right before I upgrade, so I can Any help is appreciated.

Hey, I have a 2002 mini cooper S and i want some bass. It has stock electrical right now, and the only thing I want to have to do is upgrade the big 3. It has a 105 amp alt I think and a stock battery so I'd like to keep the amp around 500-600 rms. My goal is as much bass as I can get with the space and power that I have. The dimensions for the "trunk" are 13x13x I think 32ish. I listen to rap and some dubstep, so I want a ported enclosure and I don't care if I have 1 or 2 subs as long as it's loud. As for price, I don't mind paying for quality, but I'd like to keep the sub and amp each around or under $200. I'll go up if I need to though. I was thinking maybe 2 SSA Dcon…

  18. I am getting ready to do a full install on my trailblazer SS. Its currently just stock Bloes system with factor 6disc in dash. I am planning on running an Eclipse 726E for the HU and from there is where i'm not sure. I auditioned a car yesterday with Mclass Memphis MCC6. It had some great puch to it when every you would hear the drummer hit the bass pedal. It was not coming from the sub as much as it was coming from the woofers in the doors and the rear deck lid. He has his running off of a JBL MS-8. I am sold on the MS-8, that really blew me away. Well, I had wanted to run Focal 165 KR2's, but got to listen to a set of Kr2P's today that didnt do much for me, but the way …

Like the title says. im looking for a project ride to build a retarded system in. i am looking to compete a little so i want to put good numbers. I am NOT looking for a tahoe/yukon for clear reasons. there is already one out there... i have 4 saz3ks and im going with 4 SSA subs. either 4 18s or 4 15s if need be. I have a 4k-$5k budget for the new ride. i wanted a 94-96 caprice wagon but i cant seem to find a clean one for a reasonable price around here. big body cars in houston are all bought or beat up.

Just showing off a bit and get myself motivated to finish (ahem, get started) on my build. So what do we have here? Oh, yes I did! Here something a bit closer. The main bracket. Overall it's a nice bracket. Spacers are welded onto the bracket, which is a nice touch to ease installation. There is even a strategically placed bend in the bracket for rigidity. High quality fasteners are used throughout the kit. The instructions included are some of the best I've seen. There are lots of words and for those of us with the attention span of a fly there are color pictures as well. Stay tuned for my trials and tribulations installing this monster and upgrading my electrical. F…

Right now everything factory the can does not do Dolby Digital 5.1 even though it does have a single center speaker located on the dash board. i dont get how you are supposed to be able to use the two ohm option on most four channels amps. mostly the speakers usd for front stage come in 4ohm and they are not dvc so if i run them in parrallel two sets of speakers would be runnin at 1ohm each right? i know there are 2ohm 6.5 speakers out there but its like searchin for a ghost. and i have never seen a dvc 6.5. besides i have enough 6.5's layin around to last for a lifetime. so how do you get the most out of a four channel amp that does say 75x4 @4ohm and 125@2ohm?

I have 4 7inch Carbon Fiber AAs and a SAX 100.4D with a Alpine ida-x305s. My problem I have is when I turn the volume up on my head unit to the volume where my subs play great at the 7" AAs cannot keep up and I start to smell them very strongly, if i play them at a level where the AAs are playing fine my subs are barely moving and the volume on the head unit isn't close to where I set it at regularly. I had a previous front stage of (2) Alpine Type R component sets and they played amazing at the level I play my subs at.. because of this i have cut the remote wire on my 100.4 and have not been enjoying them. I don't know if it's because of the install/leaky door.. or if it…
