  3. I seem to have a lot more voltage drop to rear fuse to amp when the seats are up, rather than down. This is a trunk car. Is lack of air flow making the sub work harder? I have the rear 6x9 vacant..

hey, a friend of mine almost got popped for a sound ordinance violation, lucky for him, he's in school to be a lawyer.. here's some advice he gave that helped him get out of the ticket.. 1) check your local laws, know exactly what they say 2) if pulled over, don't argue. make known the fact that you are going to contest the violation, politely 3) ask how loud you were. " i could hear you 50 feet away" is almost certainly a "dismissal" it's on the state/county/city/township to prove how far away they were...and they have to be able to prove it. 4) if they do conduct a sound metering test, make sure the meter has been calibrated within a year(<--generally, a good rule o…

My friend has an 02 Mustang GT convertible. He wants to cram a BTL 15" inside. His rear seats do not fold down. The question is...If his seats were not folded down would that affect the bass significantly or only just a little bit. He was thinking of taking out the rear seats but that would expose the convertible motor and stuff. The first task is to see if a 4.0cuft box would even fit back there... Thanks for any help.

I know there are a ton of choices out there but wondering what everyone is using here. Right now RAAMat looks like the choice for me, followed by Fatmat or Edead. Feel free to post away.

Subs would be SPL dynamics V300D2. And run them around 3-4kw RMS. But there is second option also 2x15" subs, what do you think, what would be nicer ? 2x15 or 4x12 ? i prefer 4x12. Ok.. I have a FI BTL 18 and a Rockford Fosgate T30001bd amp. I have all 1/0awg wire big 3 and a kinetik 1400 in the back. So when i first hooked everything up it was SUPER loud.. but for some reason when i like park somewhere and shut it off then go to get in to show someone it is not even close to as loud as it was.. Does anyone have any ideas. My only idea is because i only have a kinetik 1400 in the back so its not enough power? And sometimes when i turn it up it will start pounding and the will start to cut out. I was wondering if anyone else would know what the problem would be.

Hey guys! got another topic about a new set-up idea i'm looking at Current set-up is an 18" BL on a JBL BP1200.1 amplifier Currently though, i'm looking at picking up another BP1200.1 for a total of 2. this means I would start changing around my subs then. Here's where i'll give you the info and you try to help me decide Limitations: Each BP puts out 1200 watts @ 2 ohms. I'll have two of them and they're not strappable so it'll be two subs i'm looking at. I have around 5.8 cubes of space to play with. Max sub size I can fit in terms of still being able to get the box in the trunk are 2 15's. I'm leaning more towards 12's though just because then i can actually give them a…

Drivers side ... enough room for the mid right where the foot rest is, may be enough for the tweet too. Passenger side ... plenty of room for the mid in the area right by that plastic bolt. Paper template baffle in place. Similar to real life size (tweeter would be moved closer to the mid). Drivers side. Drivers side again. Trying to show where the mid could go. Passengers side ... looks like barely enough room if the tweeter was moved up. Closer view of passenger side ... should be ok on this side if I move the tweet closer I guess. Spring project ... fiberglass box for the (Magnum D2) most likely. Should turn out ok. If it turns out that there is too much air…

I'm currently using two 18in btln2 on an xs8k in a 05 Hyundai Tucson enclosure was design by ram. I demo often with my four doors open and it sound great but there's a problem with loading when my doors are open I loose the deep sounding bass that I love. I'm either going with a ported wall down the center or a 4th order band pass. I'm worried that with the port being so close to the door that I'll have the same problem with loading that's why in considering band pass. New sub will either be the team fi or dc lvl6. So my question is what sub and orientation would best suite me app? If any....lol!
