here is my system kenwood dnx 6960 audison srx.5 hertz hsk 6.5 xl (components) hertz hsk 6.5 (coaxil) hertz 3000 sub (12") i want to get rid of the hertz 12" sub and get something that will get down, i know im going to need another sub amp but my space is limited, behind the seat of my crewmax is larger than most 4-door trucks, especially when i slide my rear seat up several clicks, can someone help with a sub choice, either F1 Q12 or mabye 2 - 10" subs. and an amp choice to power them

Nothing more than minor cuts, scrapes, and pinches here - mainly from removing panels. Sliced my finger somewhat with a utility knife once, wasn't fun. Anyone else have any other interesting injuries sustained during installation? - Steve

I have been wondering to myself if i should tearout my current system and start over with something else... I have my 2 Fi Bl 18's 2008models and have been thinking of going back to 12's.. I have 6 alpine type r 12 just sitting around doing nothing...I would like to buy 4 sundown sa-12's.. I'm not sure how they compare to the type r's, i have not used any sundown products before.. I have wanted to maybe due a blowthrough or a clamshell design, but I can't seem to find a canopy for my truck.. All suggestions welcome..Thanx guys Jay

I finally took some pics of my cars there is nothing impressive yet still gathering equipment for both. I traded my new Viper 1200.1 for a Hifonics 1500 and Orion H2 12" + cash. I do not have pics of my Eclipse 8443 yet because I left it in the store so they can install it in my 240SX when I am ready gotta have the 3 year warranty. I just finished installing my first amped set of components, and i have a few problems. The components are being ran bridged from a 4 channel (channels 1+2 and channels 3+4) The gain is matched to the head unit voltage (2 volts), and the ssf is being used as the hpf for the comps and the switch on the amp is set to "full". The rca's are hooked up as followed: Front left @ hu to ch1 @ amp Front right to ch2 back left to ch3 back right to ch4 I used this same head unit (alpine cda-105) with my "old" system without the components but with a subwoofer. Hey Guys, I'm In Sort Of A Dilemma.. I Just Don't Know If My Sub is blown or if my Enclosure has an air leak or something.. I made a Long TEMPORARY Enclosure for my 2 15' Orion HCCA .. no bracing no fiberglass on the inside and on certain songs it sounds like AIR is leaking or something it just sounds bad....but only on certain songs.. now my concern is are my subs blown or is it the shabby job of an enclosure that i threw together...(and when i say shabby i mean i didnt take the time to seal the inside with fiberglass or etc etc etc)

Which way is better to charge second battery parallel with front battery or direct from alternator

Equipment: 2 Xcon 12's (dual 1's) on a Incriminator Audio 40.1 at 1 ohm (3600 watts rms at 12v on stable electrical), pioneer 5900ib First off, I came home today and I decided to do a little testing on the Xcon's where I could actually see them. I noticed that the subwoofer farther away from the port has much more excursion (xmax) than the one close to the port. I feel like this might have something to do with a ported box where the port is on one side, but I'm not entirely sure. I also noticed that the one with more excursion is getting hot, (one close to the port is warm but not hot). This concerns me, I feel like it points to one being at a different resistance tha…

in time when money is abundant (thats right, i dont have money for wood) i will build a new box for my xxx. right now i dont like the way it sits in my car facing upward and you can barely see it because the box is so tall. so to remedy this i will have a more flat box with the sub inverted so there is no mounting depth and to give it more area and also to show off the sexyness of the sub and its entirety. al P.S. what should i tune it to, im thinking along the lines of 28, i want to show everyone a big sub isnt sloppy, maybe even lower.

Does the direction the port is facing matter very much? What would the best direction be in this setup? 12" RL-p downfiring in an extended cab nissan frontier. The box will be ~2cubes tuned to ~30Hz. Would it be better to fire out the side towards passenger side, out the top, or forward toward drivers seat. If anyone has experience with this truck specifically that would be great, but just ideas would work.

So... i was wondering what are the effects of running 2 giant gobs of wire out of a wall(8 runs of 8awg per side), one on each side of the wall and filling it in with whatever. this would just seem to cause some loss in SPL wouldnt it? I dont know if i just fill it in with silicone or should i shoot expanding foam in there... i dont know? Also, when i'm messing with the wire any, if the wire gets moved through the hole, would it "un-seal" the hole?
