ZED Audio

Running a Kronos to my mids & tweets and a Minatour2 to my subs (replaced 2 zapco comp 300's) have to say I absolutely love the Zeds. Lately every now and then when I start my car I'll hear a pop and the Kronos will go into protect mode while the Minatour is running just fine, I then have to turn the car off,Wait 5 sec and turn it back on and everything is fine, Was wondering if simply installing a Stinger SGN21 to delay the remote turn on would be a viable fix or is this a sigh of something possibly needing to be replacement in the amp, First time in a long time I've had to deal with any kind of turn on pop, Kinda currious if this somthing common with older Kronos a…

ANYONE REMEMBER THIS MONSTER. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ? EARTHQUAKE PA-4300 IT WAS BASICALLY 2 COLOSSUS'S IN ONE AMP IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY.

Really the price per watt of these held me back for a while (that and the Crown 6K that I picked up last year), but I've gotta say, since these came out I've spent more in repairs and blowing up crappy chinese and Korean amps than these ended up costing me. I have still to do more testing, but initial impressions are "run don't walk!" and get you some of these. If you're wanting 1000W range they're worth the extra cost for the crossover and EQ options, and if you want more power, they're worth the reliability. I haven't had a far East built amp >1200W last me more than 6 or 7 months yet.

Well, my business partner was on a mission to bank some frequent flier miles off some cheap cross country air-fare. He mentioned Vegas, Grand Canyon, (YAWN) then Los Angeles. I told him if we could get up to Simi Valley to count me in! just wandering if it was built buy zed, maybe some of you guys that were into car audio then can help. one seen one since then,looks like a zed made amp. long like a crunch 50 us acoustics 2300 or a 7600 autotek or the almighty zeus! plane with no crossovers just lots of clean power. amp was black with a orange stripe down the center of the amp with yellow writing and thats about it. haveing trouble finding anything on the company or the amp for that matter. im looking for one as i type....

Like the title says....I have a question for those running or have owned an ESX amp. ESX Q275.2 is on my Icon 10. The Icon is d2 and wired for 4 ohms in bridged mode at the amp. The bridged mode is rated at 800 watts.The hu is an Eclipse CD8454 with a pre out voltage rating of 8 volts. My issue is setting the gain. With well recorded media ....(No Ipod) Only high quality cd's....I feel my gain is too high to obtain the right output. Yes I fully realize that the gain is not a volume knob. There doesn't seen to be any markings (to show the version) on leviathan amps.Can anybody tell me how I could verify a used leviathan is version 1,2 or 3? Thank you

Still trying to get over the fact that MEGALITH won't ever see production..... limping by with JBL/Crown 6K for consolation. Anyway, was talking with Stephen recently about a repair and he mentioned that he was working on an 8 channel pre-amp/processor/factory integration unit, similar to Bit 1, JL Cleansweep, RF symetry, etc. Sounded super sweet, still on , but hopefully it comes to fruition sometime in the future. I have been kicking around the idea of getting JBL MS8, but this gives me a good excuse to wait on pulling the trigger on that one.

i just bought a super clean e30,but i need the power cord/plug-in. anyone know where to find one? can i get one from zed maybe?? anyone know???

can someone tell me how rare these amps are, and what kinda power it really makes, it zed so we all know its underated. going to run a nice set of cdt hd6.1s on it. i know its a 6 ch. just found a deal on it, and i a sucker for zed goodness

Does anyone know if this amp was made with the Chrome Heatsink? I know they made it with the Charcoal grey and black and red letters. The reason I ask is I just ran into a USA 4050 with the Chrome heatsink and I was hoping to find a 2300 to match it.

Proper setting for Kronos to power up Morel Ultimo 12? Should I set to flat or LP? Using a Alpine H701 processer.

Question, this being a "subwoofer" amplifier, why does it not have a subsonic filter? Is it only meant to supply power in a sealed enclosure application??? Are the crossover points setup in a way so that I may remove the frequencies I don't want>? Example: It has crossover points @ 25hz , 31hz, 40hz, 50hz, and 63hz.. If I set the crossover points on 25hz to -12db will that "remove" that frequency's reproduction? If I leave it at 0 will it do the same? I have an account here and since i just ordered some stuff I thought I would pose a question to someone who may actually be able to answer it correctly :-) I'm getting rid of a few things and posted up my USA 2150. Almost immediately the thread went south with someone wanting to know how this amp could possibly have these ratings with only a 35 amp fuse. Of course my reply, which may shock some of you was " If you run anything other than 4 ohm stereo pop in a 50 amp fuse just like hifonics" . Is this the right answer? OR ...Can the USA 2150 do rated power with a 35 amp fuse? Now for amp porn....

So I hear that ZED is coming out with new amps? I am planning to get the Leviathan BUT if there is maybe some new product coming out, specifically in the 5-6 channel amp department then maybe I should wait and see. Can anyone give me any clues as to if what I heard was correct and about the possibility of new 5-6 channel ZED amp? TIA
