  1. As the title says...I have 14.25 cubes available. I want to run 2 zcon 18's. I don't know anything at all whatsoever about designing a box. With that said, after subtracting driver displacement, port displacement, and bracing, will I have enough room? If not I have a Zcon 18" Dual 2 for sale lawl

  2. Can someone check my work, to verify I am gaining maximum beneficial value from the bracing? From my understanding the bracing has two primary functions, other than structural support. To keep two panels from having the same resonate frequency, and to break up standing waves. Is there any adjustments I should make? Will I benefit from routeing the bracing edges round? Should I add a few randomly placed triangle braces? Remove the diagonals from the center brace? This is my first enclosure with matrix bracing, so I could have a big red flag in there and wouldn't know it. The enclosure is built for two SSA 15" Icons sealed, running 2000 watts total. The final …

Basically those bars connect the hinges from the left and right of trunk lid. They are bent in that way to accommodate the 6x9 speakers. I am going to remove the speakers this week. Could I replace them with some straight bar???

  9. In the trunk of my car, there are two bars running across the top of my trunk, that attach to my trunk lid, i suppose its there to adjust tension for my trunk lid, will if i remove those i can get an extra 2" height and that will make a large difference for my enclosure and layout in general. Anyone remove these before?

I understand that if you have the same setup you need to double your wattage each time to get 3 db louder. My question is when you get up to say 4kw and you have to double it to 8kw to get 3 db louder is there a significant difference in loudness? Is it the same audible difference than say the same setup at 200 rms is doubled to 400 rms.

Picked up a buddies old back not too long ago(Sir-lancelot) he previously had vinly on it and used the carpet spread glue not the spray. My plans are to repaint it glossy black for a ht box with a couple of other changes BUT the glue is so thick and isn't coming off! What would be the best way to remove it back to bare mdf? I been using a heat gun but it will take hours and hours to make a significant progress that way.

ive been told that puttin carpet on the inside of a box will make the sub think the box is bigger there for sound better or louder. but i personaly like fiberglassing the inside to gurantee its super sealed and not falling apart ported or selad enclosure which would be the better idea or maybe carpet over fiberglass

Has anyone ever put an center channel in a late 90s model Chevy / GMC ??? Truck or SUV (same dash literally where the defroster vents are concerned) ... I know there will be ALOT of work to go into this ... most likely will never happen, but, you never know... I'm not really concerned about it helping or hurting my stage and image at this time ... I'm just interested to see if it has been done ... I'm considering either a 5.25 or 6.5 driver (full range) ... Thanks in advance ...

  22. I haven't seen much on center consol builds and what I have found people seem to frown on them, but my brother has always wanted to build a custom center consol for his truck. Its a 2006 Chevy Silverado extended cab. He now has my old equipment and we are going to start on it. The sub will be a 12" death. It will fit between the two front seats, firing towards the rear of the cab. The center consol will be built all the way to the bottom of the dash, so the required airspace won't be a problem. The only thing I'm really not sure on is how to run the ports. We could build it so that the port either fires towards the driver side/passenger side of the truck, or both. …

So I'm trying to make a center console and I'm going to put some 6.5 evils in both sides of it. Seeing is the mids are facing back to back should I put a divider between them? Is it going to call his cancellation if I don't? If I do or don't should I be putting polyfill inside this also?
