  3. I am thinking about building a T-line for my 3 SSA DCON 12's. Has anybody here tried it or have any experience with T-lines? If anybody wants to give a shot at helping with the design it would be great. Before you comment that "The box will be huge!" , yes I know. Thanks.

I have been reading on t-line boxes for a good 2-3 hours now and am just not understanding the design part 100%. Only one that I have read and felt like I somewhat understood was the "u-shape" style design. I have always done slot ported boxes and was always happy. I think it is time for me to learn a little more about boxes. So far, this is what I have grasped Say I wanted a box tuned to 34hz. I would take 1130 (the speed of sound,) divide that by 34. Which would lead me to 32.25ft (rounded a tad). I would multiply that by .25 because I am looking for the 1/4 wave length. I would need a port 8.0625ft long. And SD equals port area? Also I am aware this is not a full t-l…

So a few months ago I built a ported box for my HT with an IDmax at 3.2 cubes plenty of bracing and tuned to 27. Although it is plenty loud I find it quite boomy. If I'm listening to music that doesn't have much below low 30's it sounds fine, but on Hip hop and rap it just slams from 26-34ish like holy hell. I finally broke down and bought a table saw. Holy..akdkdfd its nice having a good saw (550 for Delta contranctor 680, that lists for 720 so I didn't do too bad. anyway here is a t-line (or part of one that I put together last night, I'll try to keep updating pics. Assuming line length is nearly doubled when fully stuffed, tapering from 2sd to .95sd. around 7.3 cubes …

Yes, i've used a table saw before, before anyone asks lol. But never for a box with mdf. The table saws i've used have always been pretty big, like shop table saws. I recently borrowed a 10" table saw from a buddy who builds boxes with it, but it's small as hell. It's really small, especially for the box i'm making (the biggest sides are 39.5"x21"). I even put tables on two sides, to help support the wood as it goes along the blade. I used a circular saw to make the mdf as small as possible for the saw, cutting the 4x8 in (about) half. Everytime i take a piece across, it kicksback pretty bad. Now i know i'm not the first person to use a small table saw for a big project,…

I'm going to be purchasing a table saw in the near future. My question is: how big do I need? The only local place to buy MDF in my area only sells in 4x8 sheets, so I'd have rinse this saw with that initially. I found a nice looking one at lowes for $150. It's a 10". I don't know what the 10 inches refers to.. Would that be big enough to get the job done on a 4x8 sheet of MDF? If not, what about 4x4? I think lowes can cut the sheets in half for me.

We have over 45 years combined experience between the 2 of us and started out in SPL. We are competing with the current world and SBN iSQc championship vehicle. In the works is my 1988 Red S10 BlaZa to compete in the 159.9 class and win SQ at the same time. below is 10 years ago below is door panels from us in 1992

I'm finally going to put my 2 TC Sounds OEM 10's to work. I have 2 10" matching passive radiators that I'm going to use, too. I usually go sealed, but want to try these out ported (so to speak). I was going to build one box with 2 separate chambers to specs (.6 ft^3 each) but was wondering if I could just use 1 common chamber (1.2 ft^3)? Another idea would be to get another passive radiator so I'd have 3 total for 2 subs in a common chamber? Would this be better than the 2 (I heard that you should have a bigger sized passive radiator than the woofer)? All inputs are greatly appreciated. Here's my current set up: 2000 (JDM) Subaru Legacy GT Twin Turbo Wagon Yellow Top Op…

I am ready to buy enclosure design software, I want all the features available. I am thinking of buying Term-Pak. With Term-Pak I can later purchase Term-LAB meter as well. Term-Pak includes Term-Pro and Term-CAD 3D. Is this the best that is available? It looks like it was written in the early 90's.
