Hey guys little intro first, my names Lucas I'm 22 and I live in Orange County California. I'm currently running a Kenwood X591 HU and the US Amps MD-22 and a pair of RE Audio SR12D4's in a way oversized and kind of sealed box (leaks like a mofo). Stock 6.5 speakers inside for now : ( I can't really give much of a review on the amp because its only about 15 minutes old, but those 15 minutes were pretty good. A little hot but good. Question though the bass remote seems to be different than others i've used. It seems like it has no relation to the actual bass boost like the one thats on the amp. So what is it actually controling and is the blue light ever gonna come back on…

Ok so i'm changing the substage again. I also changed jobs. I work for a shop now that sells mostly cadence and RE/US Amps. Mainly RE for subs and cadence for mids and highs. So i'm looking at a system rebuild. Probably XXX comps for my Mids and hi's I only have a front stage. Gonna leave the Sundown SAX100.4 on them for the time being. So heres where it boils down. I'm looking to make some NOISE minimum 150s but be able to blend them into the system as well for daily driving. I'm looking at either 2 SX 10s or possibly 1 XXX or MX 12. My car really doesn't want to handle 2kw daily but we gonna make it work. Getting at least 1 kenetic 2400 probably for the ba…

Hey I have a US Amps MD2D that the remote wire screw on it happened to break off in the hole that you screw it into. I was wondering how would I go about replacing the power ground remote block for it and how much that would cost. The amp was bought from an authorized seller at the time around 2 and 1/2 years ago. Its a 2005/6 model.

I've seen the specs for both and was wondering what justified the extra money for less watts on the AX2000HC (2400 watts) vs. AX3000DE (3000 watts). I know they HC is for high current (down to .5 ohms) but is there something else I'm missing?

I've run the ed's before and they are solid and seem to be a great value. Looking at the IS 2080 for front comps and the 2200 for subs or the ed nine.2 and nine.2x. What do you guys think? The setup will be CDT EF 61 Neo comps up front and 2 10's sealed but not sure which ones.

Are these amps 2 or 1 ohm mono stable or would I be pushing it. I believe the 150x puts out 500x1 at 4 ohm bridged. Can I bridge it down further to 2 ohms or am I asking for trouble. Any input is greatly appreciated. I was also considering using the us amps optimizer with these amps. The 100x would power boston pro60 3 ohm speakers in stereo. The 100 would power boston pro6.5 in the rear in either stereo or mono, probably stereo. I was looking at picking up a 8'' sub and running it at 2 ohms off the 150x. Maybe a 8w7(3ohm i think), tc sound, fi, or soundsplinter. Am I asking for trouble? or can these works of art handle these loads all day long? This is all going…

So against my better judgement I bought a used US-AMPS DE-3000 off of ebay. The seller had over 200 positive feedbacks and no negs, and the price was too good to pass up; and the seller was NOT the guy-who-might-be-milo in the thread below. When I got it and hooked it up, it belched white smoke before I even put a load on it. One of the capacitors inside actually caught on fire, without blowing the fuse I was using to protect the amp, which was a first for me. Anyway, is there any easy way to look at the components used and verify that it was an original US-amps product? It has obviously been repaired once at least because the caps don't all match, thermal goo was appl…

Since there isnt a distributor in Canada anymore I'm wondering if there are going to be any dealers in Canada. Maybe US Amps/RE is looking for someone to take over for their Canadian distributions Might be better if they were to answer emails. Does anyone know anything about any of this?

Just out of pure curiosity, why did the old amps have all the funky colors? Any real reason, or just because?

I had a AX5600 in my car being ran active off a 9835, powering ID OEM mids, Hybrid L1 tweeters and 1 12" RL-p. I've pulled that system out to use the 9835 and amp in my dad's F150, but I'm probably going to stick with some passive TypeX comps in there and 2 E8s under the seat. My question is, are the AX5600 speaker channels bridgable? I'm going to run some old Type-R coaxs off the HU for the rear, but want to send the comps more power than just the front channels. Thoughts? Next, I'm picking up an XT800.2 and two XT800.4s for my car. I'll be running the same L1s, but pairing them with new 2ohm versions of the OEMs. The RL-p is going to be ran IB. I plan to bridge one of t…
