US AMPS

Ok I have two of these amps. One from 93 and one from 95. I have some questions about them someone may be able to answer. These amps have different boards. I assume because they are 2 different gens. 93 is a bit more compact than the 95. Both boards have the areas where it seems more components could be added to make them 4 channel. Is this possible or just dead spots on the boards? Next, I see conflicting info around the web. I realize these are 65watts per channel at 4ohm and that it is not reccomended to go any lower. I've got an offer for a brand new MD.23 for $250 shipped....I'm guessing it doesn't have a warranty..? How do you US Amps hold up? Do they tend to break down a lot or are they pretty stable? I would buy with warranty but its almost $450 more than this guy is offering for from my understanding...the price of an extra 2 non-warranty MD.23's. Does anyone know where to get these for significantly cheaper than $700 and still have a warranty? Regardless of the warranty, how do you like the Merlin line itself? Is this a standard part on the AX line or is it optional? Is mounted inside or outside of the amp frame?

I Have A MLT setup and I want to know the advantages of this setup.I have two md3d going to two 13w7's. Under this setup I have one md3d going to my subs and the other is a slave amp.The advantage I have with this setup is I only have to play with one gain on the amp which is good and also when I had played with both amps before I have to make sure that both amps were even on the gain so the subs would move the same.Now with the new setup the subs are more even when they are under excursion so better sound.It seems that the subs hit harder and cleaner. :bigclap:

Hi I've been calling around to different car audio companies accross the US and all of the stores tell me that mmats amplifiers beat us amp hands down. (compared to merlin series) Is this true? I know the car audio shops have installed both amps and should know, but this is a us amps forum and wanted to hear if there was a difference in opinion. Has anyone here dealt with mmats pro audio amps? thanks

The internals of the 1100T I know it's identical to the new DE-1000 ...but this is the model no. So an unforeseeable incident happened to my Md.1d a little over a week ago.... I contacted Jeremy (flakko) about the issue and he helped me track down the problem to see the proper course of action... i called UsAmps tech Greg Carlos... Presented my problem and his technical knowledge was spot on and knew immediately what the issue was....He was courteous and very insightful.....I was transfered to the front office to Holly to get a RA number to send my amp in..... Holly was really nice and very receptive to my issue.... I had no problems getting the RA number and got to laugh a bit at her attempt to pronounce some of the streets names here in Hawaii..... Have 4 fresh Usa 2000's that have never seen power. Going to run one one my FI Bl 15 in my 2001 Nissan Maxima with aftermarket battery and stock alt. I wont be killing this setup but will it not kill my system until I get an 130Amp alt for it...And possibly a second battery if I need to??? Again, I wont be pushing it way too hard but ive heard these amps draw alot of current.

Where would be the best place to get these? About how much will each of these run me? Does the MD.41 do 50W x 4 or 60W x4? Thanks!

I have 2 07 Merlin MD3's and i did have them strapped but I had to take them out of strap mode because the master amp was slipping in and out of protect. With them working individually I do not have that problem but I am having problems matching the output. I can play one frequency and balance them out to where they put out the same AC volts at that frequency but once I change frequencies the amps are not balanced out anymore, one will be putting out more than the other except for on that one frequency that I set them to. They will be out of sync by 10 AC volts on some frequencies. In strap mode they put out the exact same power at all frequencies but it is slipping in an…

I see two different md2s' One says "Merlin MD.2" and has all of the connections at the bottom of the amp on the long side The other says "MD-2D" and has all of the connections on the right end of the amp (this is the one on the usamps.com site durrently) The power ratings are identical, but there is no way that with all of the radical differences they are te same, one has to be better My questions are these; What are the differences (is one like a 5 year old model and the other current?) And of course, which one has more power! (do they exceed rated power or just meet it? at 2 ohms specifically), Does anyone have specifics or no? And what else about them should one know?…

Will these amps do rated power? I have heard mixed reviews about the power they put out some say they will do the power plus some and others say that they will not make power. Also how is the build quality I have heard that they have went downhill compared to their older amps. And if they do rated power at what voltage do they achieve it, I am assuming 14.4 which I will never see my truck idles at 13.8 and runs at 14-14.2 at 2000 RPMs also how efficient are they? Pretty much are they worth the money or are there better built amps that do more power for the money?

I have 2 of them strapped powering my AQ HD3 15's. I am running them off of a Kenwood KDC-X891 HU. The only problem I am having is when I start my truck I get noise through my subwoofers it is more audible when I first start my truck and when the HU is loading the CD. Then it tones down a little bit once the cd starts to play I can not hear the noise anymore because my subs are playing the music, but then when I turn my truck off I have a turn off thump. Is this something to do with the HU or the amps? I did have 2 Viper 1200's strapped before the MD3's and I was running an Eclipse CD5435 HU and I did not have any turn on or turn off noise. Most people around here know I was running (2) MT 18's and (8) MD3Ds. I am now running (4) MT 15's with the same amps. Each pair of amps is strapped to a MT with dual 1.4 ohm coils in parallel (.35 ohms per amp). With a hour of testing, I was able to pull a 157.1 at 37 Hz with the new (4) 15" setup. And it will actually do 157.0 from 36 to 40 Hz. The (2) 18's did 156.9, but that was at 43 Hz. I will post some videos of it in the next couple of days. Anyone know of a good bass race song @ 38-40 Hz? Brian

Hi, I am new to this forum and I am looking into upgrading my current system and I was looking at the RE SE12 being powered be either a XT 2000D or a XT 4000D since this site says the XT 2000D only puts out 800 rms at 1 ohm now is that right or is that a typo error and also I am looking at the XT 1600.4 to run my speakers and again it says that at 4 ohm it puts out 125 but the US amps website says 100 rms and is that correct.

Hi, new member here. I'm just curious about the guy on ebay (chassis_inc) that's always selling new US Amps. Was he affiliated with the old company and/or bought the old stock or something? Are these legit old school models? I have another question but I'll ask that at another time. Thanks, Kelly
