how much will each amp do at 0.5 ohms? i heard 2200 each, and strapped they would do around 4200. is this correct? also, has anyone wired it to 0.5 ohms and ran it daily? if so, did you have any problems with it?

Ok I am wandering will a 1500d at 1.5 ohms will put out? I have a 100 amp denso alternator hair pin design i have heard there amps is higher then what they rate them. I have a group 35 battery i think it is 450 cca and i wil be using a 1500d on 2 jbl gti's 12's running 1.5 ohm load. My question is will my electrical hold up or will i need a new battery? I plan on getting a kinetik in the future when i get the money it is a brand new 2009 corolla so all i am really worried about is battery power which i can always turn down the sub bass but will i have to or will the electrical system hold up? well jus like the title says ..my amp is going into protect.. i was doing some runs on the TL and it suddenly started going into protect...i checked the speaker and it reads 2.3 ohms and is a d4 on parallel....what could it be??

did some testing with an sa-12 yesterday, and i was amazed at what these little "entry level" subs can do. on with the testing: Car: 1997 Chevy Cavalier z24 w/sunroof Electrical: stock alt, yellow top up front, kinetic 1800 in back, 2/0 welding cable all around Amplifier: One SAZ-3000 Enclosure: 2.7 cube box sub back 6inch aero port firing toward driver side wheel well. I am contemplating purchasing a single Sundown Zv4 15 for my two door 2000 Honda Civic EX. I recently cut out nearly the entire back-dash area behind the back seats and below the back window turning the car into a pseudo-hatchback as it is more or less a project car at this point. My first question is what sort of enclosure would be recommended for this particular install. I have heard that sub up port back towards the trunk works well and considering I should have little to no "trunk" left to rattle I figure this would work good for me. Ok. I ordered a Sundown Audio SA-10 Sub. Had it hooked up to a Alpine Pdx-1.600 mono amp. Was getting this rattling/slapping noise from the sub at all volumes and all gain but of course it was less severe the lower the volume/gain but was still present. I thought maybe i could have received a bad sub so i got it exchanged. I originally ordered a dual 4 ohm and got a dual 2 ohm which was not too bad since i could still use it but the replacement i received is a dual 4ohm and does not fit in my box. The dual 2 ohm did but the dual 4ohm does not. No idea why the impedance would make a difference on depth. Got the new sub in today and it still makes this noise. I am starting …

I'm just curious. I know personally Hifonics takes up ALOT of power. But do Sundown amps do? Well its tax-return time and I'm officially debt free, and its also the the start of audio season. The question is should I buy and build a new street A car. This season the car would get a modest treatment, 2 runs of 1/0 wiring, a good battery, 2 saz-3000d's, 2 (10" subs undecided but would have to be pretty beastly). The following season it would get the fun treatment, 4-6 runs of 1/0, countless hours of termlab testing/box building etc... Should I do it, represent Sundown Audio and SSA again? I'm leaning towards yes, Its a great hobby and if I could nab a cheap crx/omni etc... I should be pretty solid in the north east.

Im Rebuilding my s10 dis yr with sum new goodies i had the sundown z15s on 1 ab 500.1 and now im stepping up to 2 Z15v2s and 2 ab 500.1s and adding more 1/0 and 4 big C& D Batts! The old setup with the Z15s did a 152.4 at 38hz at the headrest meca style on 160amps of fusing for s3! But this yr im movin up classes since i got more power!!!
