This part is a spacer / shorting ring / heat-sink for the Z v.2 model. These are made right down the street from us here in Troutman, NC at a family owned machine shop. Great guys down there... they also did our aluminum Nightshade v.1 pole plugs. Just got these in... testing so far has not included them but they will be standard on production models. A few pictures : Should I powder coat them or leave them raw aluminum color ?

Had alot of requests for pricing so here it is. Standard (you can pick 2 or 3 spiders): 10" - $415 / MSRP - $535 12" - $425 / MSRP - $550 15" - $440 / MSRP - $570 18" - $480 / MSRP - $620 OPTIONS: Double tinsel leads* - Add $10 Nightshade Cone** - Add $10 Nightshade Spiders (you can pick 2 or 3)*** - Add $20 Additional spiders (more than 3)**** - Add $5 each * - If you will be running an amp at 0.5 ohm or more than 2000 watts or so I suggest this. Generally speaking you will not need it if you are not an SPL competitor putting large amounts of burp power to the driver - but it is there if you want it. If you don't need them I suggest not getting them as they can chatter a…

We did the 15" a while back -- decided to video the 18" as well. These are going to start debuting in mid 2011 or so... likely a size or two at a time. 1500-watt RMS rated woofer -- you can see more information on the line here : Prototype Z v.3 Testing - Car Audio Classifieds

Now that everyone knows what they can do... I am thinking about opening a special on them to get more reviews on these bad boys. The special would be equal to the pre-sale @ $300 each. Who wants some ?

Heard one tonight... Wow. The owner was Toby from T&J Elite Customs in Oldsmar, FL. Was in an Escalade, probably an 04 or so. Was a SAZ-3000D running a Critical Mass 5000 in a box that was around 3 cubes tuned to 38hz. SAX-100.2 on the Critical Mass comp set. Entire system was 1 12, 2 6.5s, and 2 tweeters. Those components screamed! They sounded great, and blended perfectly. The sub was probably the best sounding woofer Ive ever heard. Couldnt even tell there was a sub, you would think it was actually a bass drum. As good as it sounded, he metered it and it was right at 144.xdbs on the Termlab, legal. He is a Sundown dealer and was playing with the 3000D and hooked it…

so im trying to decide wether i should buy a sundowns amp or a kicker amp. Ive heard a lot of people saying that sundowns sucks and their amps are for little girls. I dont know what to believe, ive looked on the internet and seen some bench tests showing sundowns 1500 watt amps being able to do 3423 watts @ .5 ohms. That seems a little unrealistic, I need the most wattage possible, and if sundowns amps are terrific then im sure I will become a sundowns fan boi and become in love with all other sundowns owners.

Jacob, thank you so much for all of the support and finally here it is... the F150 is done mostly. Most of these photos are on my build log posted on the SSA forum. Here is the finished (mostly) product. A few more tweaks are coming a Kenwood head unit, leather interior, some fiber glass work (probably going to put some E8s in for mid-bass), wheels and new paint. Oh did I mention that it's a sleeper?

This was to be a week of catching up on e-mails BUT the container of SA speakers showed up about a week early so we've spent the week unloading, sorting, and shipping the SA woofers. I've done as many e-mails as possible during but still have over 100 messages to do. If I can wake up early one day this weekend before my family I'll try and tear through them and get everyone taken care of. Thanks for the patience guys !
