This install is in a 2007 2500HD with every factory option available. (Pleather, Nav, DVD, Blows Stereo, etc) The customer simply wanted to add a little more bass so we threw in a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D and a pair of subs. Anyone who has done an install in one of these trucks will know how little space there is for anything so the 1000D and its small footprint is the perfect solution. I am not a fan of factory speakers by any stretch of the imagination but the Silverado factory "Blows" speakers aren't too bad. Enclosure by James Taylor. -

If the 5k does not make full list by the deadline, can you start the saz 2000d instead? I'm really waiting for this one, I believe it's the route you need to take next in my opinion. Any input on this is appreciated, thanks. -

I'm just curious. I know personally Hifonics takes up ALOT of power. But do Sundown amps do? Lets say i wanted one 15 inch sundown nightshade and power it with a saz 1500. if i were to power it with a hifonics brutus 1400 < i know that id need a cap or second battery or both and alt upgrade but i just want to know in general do sundown amps take alot of power? just for personal preferences i have a 03 nissan maxima and will be replacing battery and buying a second one. but i wouldnt want an amp that takes alot juice. i know, amps should because they are producing so much power but i know personally hifonics takes up alot of juice, i had to go through 2 batteries in … -

Threads for the NS-1 so far : NS-1 and SAE-500D Prototype Pictures - Car Audio Classifieds Amplifier Stock News (Announcement Inside) - Car Audio Classifieds ----- * 6x SA-12 for testing * NS-1 dropped in for testing with various meters * Derrick has 3x XS D3100s and 2x Mechman 300-amp alts * DC Current Clamp Derrick measured 7100-watts on MY Extech Clamp meter and captured 82v with his RMS volt-meter -- so we calculated that to be 0.95 ohms actual with rise from 0.33 nominal. Voltage dropped to 12.3 volts with 646 amps of measured draw on my DC clamp meter. We let everything cool off for a while and hit it again and saw 7200-watts as well but didn't grab all of the … -

I am working on a line for those with depth restrictions -- NOT a true shallow woofer but something that just isn't super deep as most of our drivers are big, nasty, deep woofers. The ultra-shallow market is not something we plan to get into but I thought something shallower than the SA line would be nice. Our future "E" series line with stamped frame was not designed as a reduced depth driver either so we would have left this market totally untouched. SD-2 10" -- 4 7/8" Depth SD-2 12" -- 5 3/8" Depth These will fit many under-seat truck enclosure applications. We had an SD-1 and SD-1 v.2 series some time back that were very popular in the truck market... so naturally the… -

I wanted some bass in my truck and decided I was going to do a small setup for daily use. So I ordered a SubThump box, didn't want to deal with the angle of under the seat. That box will be filled with a Mach 5 Audio IXL 10". After ordering that I decided to see about possibly doing a ported setup for the hell of it. Basically means I lose a seat in my truck when running this setup. So I decided to have RAM_Design design a ported enclosure for the SA-12 I ordered. We decided on 1.85ft^3 tuned to 32Hz. The design and cutsheet from RAM made it extremely easy for us to build the box quickly without measuring 50 times to be certain. This is the first ported box I have… -

Congrats to Jon Kennedy for winning IASCA Southeast Regionals SQ in the PRO class with a pair of SA-8s -- he is a part of Team First Amendment. He also won a Bass Boxing challenge presented by Team Epsilon/PPI against Chad Romano -- a friendly challenge, of course! They plan to continue the friendly challenge at SBN this year  Jon runs PPI amplifiers and an old school Boston 3-way set. I am going to get some more details from him on the actual bass boxing scores and the install but for now I'll share the photos I have -- the box is a 4th order that fits under his truck seats. -

Well, after ordering a SAE1000D from Db-r my boy couldn't wait to do the car he would like to call his (of course I make the dang payments). We mounted a Pioneer Premier head unit. Clarion Pro Audio 4 channel amp Alpine components in the front doors an ancient MTX 3 10 inch sub box and the Sundown amp. I ordered 4 E8's from Mike and when they get in it will be either order a box or build one. Still need to get some loom to neaten up the wires but not a bad little install for 3 hours work. I have got to say the Sundown is powering the MTX box well. The box sits at 4 ohm so the output is around 300 watts. It hits hard! When we installed the stereo last Sunday, I did everyth… -

I had an issue with my NS-1 amplifier. It is a v1, the second edition of the v1. Sundown wants to send me a v2 in a warranty exchange. I need to know what did they change between v1 (revised) and v2 version. Because they're is a huge price difference to pay. :-( I want to know if it is worth the money to have a v2, or if I'd better have it repaired. Thanks for your help. -

Hey everyone, bought my zv3 months ago and finally got around to installing it. I had an old sealed box that I threw it in, it's on the large side at about 3.7 cubic feet amp is an saz1500v1. Problem is that when I turn it up to really get the sub moving I get loud sharp cracking noises and an occasional pop! It sounds really good at lower volume but cranked up it starts to go crazy. Any ideas? My gain is at about half bass boost at 0 it sounds like it bottoms out but I couldn't even get my type rs to do that off this amp?? -

I had a miserable F-ing friday (yesterday). Earlier this week, a guy was "Selling" Incriminator 40.1's over on canadiancaraudio at crazy prices... (read: $600). He made it sound like he was just desperate for a quick sale, so I figured hey, may as well take advantage - I wanted to pick up a temporary amp to keep me busy until the 3000D's come out. The guy gave me a tracking number on thursday, and said he had shipped it out on wednesday. Turns out the tracking number was invalid... I tried repeatedly and gave up on friday. I messaged another guy that had "bought" a 40.1 from this seller, and he had the same symptoms. We compared tracking numbers and they were the ex… -

Hello, can i get opinion if this set up will work. I'll be running pair of the E-12D4 at 1ohm on BRZ 1700.1D. I know the BRZ will not output 1700 @ 1ohm probably close to 1300@1ohm. I am also trying to find how big of a magnet these E series 12" subs are. Thank you for posting -

These all have original boxes + remotes. They are all "new case" style amps. Cosmetic condition varies slightly between them. ONE YEAR warranty included. $350 shipped each in continental USA. These are USED amplifiers... they are not NEW. Cosmetic imperfections are a given... if you plan to complain about any small cosmetic blemishes don't buy them. I will say it again... these are not new and are not necessarily mint condition. * Tape was applied to the face of this amp, you could scrub the adhesive off. -
