  2. ok, so i read the specs for the 1000d, and it says battery wire terminal, 0 guage, so i go on ebay and buy a 0 gauge amp kit. and then when i go to hook up my amp, the zero gauge wire is 1/3 to big, and i thought rockford fostage would be more accurate, maybe it was that , or maybe sundown made a mistake on my amp or somthing, i heard it was ok to take off wire to make it smaller, as long as you clean it up nice, and then electrical tape it, so that is how it stands now. my box isnt here yet. so i havnt ran it yet. all sugjestions are apreciated so much, this is my dream system and i dont want to fuk it up by jerry rigging it like that or somthing. thanks guys. kevin

I'm currently doing up my electrical system to support my SAZ-3000D. I currently have a "200" amp alternator (E-bay special) and I'm looking into doing a 6 battery bank but I have never gone to this extreme, so I was wanting any advice as to wire or to run this type of set up. just to ensure proper charging and what not. Any advice in this field would be very very appericated. To those who are wondering why 6 batts for 1 amp, I'm planning on getting another 3000 as soon as budget allows.

  6. Hello Guys..I want to be convinced that I need to Purchase one or your Saz-1500d amps...I currently am running the Us amps Xt4000d and my Fi BL 15" Seems like It still needs more Power...It is fully loaded in a 4cuft@30Hz enclosure. My current amp just doesn't put out what I think the Fi speaker can handle...I really like your Amplifiers and would like to be one of the team...Could one of you who acutally own or make the amp give me some input about how it performs at 1 ohm....I really want one so my Us Amps amp went on sale today...Thanks guys..

Saturday I installed 3-Sd1 10" subs and 1 -SAZ 1500 amp in a 1998 Honda Civic 4dr. The subs were in a 3.40 cu.ft ported 3/4" mdf box that was braced accordingly. The ripple was -1.0 / fs was 25hz/fb was tunned to 34 HZ. Enough of the tech mumbo jumbo. I knew the system would sound accurate due to the ripple and natural QTS of the sub ,but I did not think it would be that L.O.U.D!!!!!!! These little ten inch 250 watt subs sounded impressive to say the least. The low freq extensions were accurate and flawless. They are taking the power well. The set up also did not fall flat on it's face in the upper subsonic freq ranges. They were a little sloppy at 60 hz plus but that co…

Well, hi to everyone at sundown. From what I can find it seems that this amp isn't quite out yet? I currently have 2 memphis 4ks, and was about to buy 2 more, but I'm wondering if there is something better out there before investing memphis. There was mention of a pre-order of 3ks for ~900each, which if I could dump off the 4ks quick enough I would be interested in buying 4 of them if its beneficial. After reading the thread on testing it seems they put out close to 4k at 1ohm, 14.4v? Please correct me if I'm wrong. While bias can be expected on a product forum, I'd really like to get some more info on these amps. Everyone seems to love the 1500s, and I've heard nothing b…

I have been running my 1500d for about a month now. It was working perfectly until about 3 days ago. I hadnt been in the truck or anything for 2 days, and then i go and get in it and as im driving the subs are making a popping noise. I have been trying to figure out what the problem is, and i dont think it is any of my wiring. I have figured out that the popping only happens when the amp is shook or tapped on or of course the truck bounces or something while im driving. The amp works fine except for when this happens, which is frequently. Im thinking it might possibly be something loose in the amp or something. Let me know if you have a possible solution.

Built a box for a guy, he put a little sub in it on a Sundown SAX 100.2 bridged at 4 ohms and took a couple videos for me. I figured I'd share them. I've said it before, the 100.2, while being the smallest current offering, is my favorite amp. A single DD 1008 on a 100.2 bridged at 4 ohms. Tuned low, especially for an 8, but still managed to do a 132.9 on music out of a trunk, and the back seats don't fold down.

New woofers from Sundown Audio... the first run, which is available now, is a test run to see how these woofers stand with customers. I really like them myself and am proud to offer them. These woofers are 100% made in the USA of as many USA sourced parts as possible in a top quality factory. Sundown Audio will be offering the same warranty on our speakers as our amps -- 2 years limited / 5 year discounted replacement and the same applies to these even if they do *not* stay on board as a permanent product. If these are well received more will be built and they will stay on board as a permanent addition. These will be one notch below the "E Series" woofers previously discu…

What kind of power would I be looking at with 2 1500D's strapped at 3ohms? I've got an HD315 DVC .75ohm each. I can either run the amps at .75 or 1.5 each. This is a daily driver, no burps, played reasonably loud 90% of the time. Friday's after work it gets played stupidly loud, so I can unwind on the 20 minute ride home. That's the longest amount of time I play it that loud, usually around 20 minutes. I don't really understand impedence rise, but I know it will effect what the amp really sees. That's why I wonder if .75ohm per amp would be ok for my situation. Or would 1.5 each be safer? If so would it be that much of an increase in power over my current single amp at .…

Do you think it would be okay to install a SAZ-1500D and SAX-100.2 like the following pictures? The SAZ-1500D will be powering two TC Sounds OEM 10's and the SAX-100.2 will be powering a pair of CDT Braxial ES-630's. The pics are of a 350Z.
