Box outer dimensions (.75 mdf) - 40" x 13.75" x 8.5" = 1.91 cubes After subs, ports and bracing = 1.65 cubes Box will house four E8's firing up. I have 10' of 2" pvc so I'd like to use it since it's free. Will two 2" ports 8.56" long tuned to 34hz give me good output? Also I have a choice of firing the ports down or to either the driver or passenger side, do not have room to fire up with subs. Give me your thoughts please on this design. Power comes from a Sundown SAE-1200D = 1200 watts @ 1 ohm @ 12.8 volts. Box will be behind the seats, raised off the floor, in a small MR2 with about 30 - 35 cubic feet of interior volume.

I recently just ordered a Sundown SAE-1200D amplifier and im currently looking to get all new wires from KnuKoncepts. For some reason I cannot seem to find what size power and ground wire the amplifier needs. Im assuming that it is 1/0 gauge but can someone tell me for sure? Also what size external fuse do I need?

Hi I'm in the process of upgrading from my 15" Fi SSD to dual Nighshade v.2 on around 4 K rms. And I'm not so good with designing boxes so I'm asking someone with the talent to help me with a design for my new woofers. I was thinking something made for daily use tuned to 32-33 Hz. The box will be going into a Ford Mondeo hatchback. Tanks for the help

Hello I was wanting to use the 100.4 for my front stage. I was going to run 6.5 in the kicks and maybe a 3 or 4 inch in my front pillars. I was wondering can you bandpass, for example channel's 3&4 with the subsonic filter set at 150 hz then setting the Low pass frequency crossover at 4,500Hz for the 6.5. Then channels 1&2 would be set on High Pass and the High Pass Crossover set at 750Hz for my pillars. I will also be running tweeters I will be running those on channels 1&2 also. How could I Passively crossover these. I was thinking around around 7,000-8,000Hz any info would be helpful. Thanks

So, I wake up today get in my car and on my way to school, just to back up as a helpful info, I unhooked 1 of my subs the other day due to wiring and needed a bigger gauge. Sounded fine no problem with one sub everything was wired correct. I'm at school I unhook everything bring the amp in pop it open everything looks fine bring my car around to my shop class hook it all up and as soon as I plug my power wire in It arced just like a welder and my amp is up in smoke so, unhook it all open it up and take a look to what looks …

Ok guys, well im doing an install update on wends in which im adding a kinetik 2400, 1800, replacing some crappy rcas with nice knu krystals, adding a 1/0 negative run between kinetiks, adding more power wire etc, adding 880 prs to replace my crappy alpine, and last adding the second sae-1000D proto for substage. anyways. i want to create an amp rack that provide the proper airflow that the amps need to allow them to cool and breathe. and im tossing around how i will design it. but it will house my 2 sub amps, the 1000's. I want to put the amp rack on the back of my box, that is 40" long, but i want to keep the amp rack to around 32 - 33" so it fits between my trunk braci…

1) Would it harm the amp if you do not use all the channels? Need to send one of my speakers back for warranty and wondering if there is no speaker on channel 4 if that would hurt the amp. 2) Friend wants to upgrade his system. What type of power does bridging channels 3 & 4 give? Want to possibly run a pair of components and a sub.

The amps are on the final truck to us and are in Charlotte this morning. Assuming nobody drops the ball big time we should have them today. Being that they must ALL be tested I am not sure how many if any will ship out today but I'll have tons of pictures at least when they come in and we start testing =) These are ALL sold already -- just an update for those that ordered them.

i have an older box that was given to me by a friend who works at a shop.... he said that he really didnt know what it was tuned to but the 11.5 long and the only thing he remembers ( which was written on a sticky from the guy who built it) that the box had 26.43 cu. inches of area, 1.48 cubes .... so some ruff calculations on my part which i suck at i am still unsure on what this box is tuned to.??? JUST A TEMP BOX UNTIL PETE AND I GO OVER THE NEW BUILD WITH 15 NSs... i spoke with him last week and was think going with a horn design.... could get interesting.

Hello, I am looking at a 100.4 to run my entire system with CH1/2 running a full range component set and Ch3/4 bridged to a subwoofer. I see in the owners manual that the HPF is a 12db filter but coundn't see what the subsonic is. My primary question is that since there is some overlap in these two filters if I wanted to filter out the fronts at say 60 hz is there a reason to pick one or the other to use or to use a combination of the two? Thanks John
