Gotta say that Sundown has their shit together. Not only are their products top in the business but their customer service is outstanding! Tuesday morning I emailed Sundown about a used basket and a t-shirt. A couple hours later my email was replied to and a few more emails later, within an hour, my swag was ordered. I received my order today, three days after ordering Thanks Sundown! I will also add that I requested a little something special added to my Z.3 that I ordered a couple weeks ago. Without hesitation Sundown complied. A lot of companies ship straight from a build house without personally testing or even seeing the product they sell, not Sundown!

i have an older box that was given to me by a friend who works at a shop.... he said that he really didnt know what it was tuned to but the 11.5 long and the only thing he remembers ( which was written on a sticky from the guy who built it) that the box had 26.43 cu. inches of area, 1.48 cubes .... so some ruff calculations on my part which i suck at i am still unsure on what this box is tuned to.??? JUST A TEMP BOX UNTIL PETE AND I GO OVER THE NEW BUILD WITH 15 NSs... i spoke with him last week and was think going with a horn design.... could get interesting.

Hi all, I've just installed my new amp : a saz 1500. I had the saz1000 on my 15" xcon. I did it this past week end, so I could not buy what I needed. I used the distribution block I already had. I have a 0 ga wire coming from the under hood battery to the trunk, and coming trough a dist block with 3 "out" : 1 for the sax50.4 amp with a 60amp fuse and the 2 others are now used for the saz1500 with a 80 amp fuse for each wire. So, I have 2 4ga wires that goes into the bass amp instead of one 0ga from the dist block to the amp. Is it safe ? I did not change the ground wire from 4 ga to 0ga, but I will do it today because it might not be safe at all now! Is it worth changi…

I have a few quick question about the sub box that I am going to be building. First I have two SA-10 D4's wired down to 1Ohm, being powered by a SAZ-1500V3, currently have a crappy prefab enclosure. Though the subs still sound great I know they can be much louder. I have used a few online calculators as well as design software to build a basic ported box. I just want to verify that the box design I have will be sufficient. I've been playing with some numbers and I'm curious about port recommendations as far as width and length Current Box design is a simple ported box with a side slot vent, subs are sharing air space. I'm using RE audio Box calculator specs are Wid…

Okay, I have gone ahead and built the shell in my car and I have between 23-24 cubes total. My plan is to run 8 sa12's off 4 saz1500's. My main concerns are with port. If i do all 8 on a flat wall i can get about 187" of port. If i go down to 6 subs I can get upwards of 320" of port. If you go with a smaller port do you want to go with a smaller box? or Would it be better to go big box small port? I usally go with a 14" per cubes on port area with most boxes i build, but this one I just cant get the entire 14" with 8 subs. I had also spoken to DJ and he was said 187" in 14 cubes should be good, but i woundering if there is any rules about port area-vs-box size... …

I ordered a 50.4 in hopes of bridging it to get the proper power I need out of my midbasses. After purchasing the amplifier, I looked at the wiring diagram for bridging and it only shows mono subwoofer. I wanted to run these at stereo for my midbasses xover actively from 60-1.2kHz. Is bridging out of the question?

Hey I was wondering if I was giving my speakers the most power I could give them. See I have the Sundown SAE-1200D installed and I have a Autotek Mean Machine 100.4 also installed. The sundown has a 150 amp rating and the autotek has a 70 amp rating. My power wire is 0 GA but I still have my old 100amp ANL fuse on the line from when I had 4 ga power wire...the ANL fuse hasnt blown for the 2 weeks Ive been playing my system and I usually have it close to or it not at full tilt. Shouldnt those two amps have blown that 100Amp ANL fuse if it was playing rated RMS???? The autotek is 100 watts x 4 and you all know what the 1200 does....

Hello I was wanting to use the 100.4 for my front stage. I was going to run 6.5 in the kicks and maybe a 3 or 4 inch in my front pillars. I was wondering can you bandpass, for example channel's 3&4 with the subsonic filter set at 150 hz then setting the Low pass frequency crossover at 4,500Hz for the 6.5. Then channels 1&2 would be set on High Pass and the High Pass Crossover set at 750Hz for my pillars. I will also be running tweeters I will be running those on channels 1&2 also. How could I Passively crossover these. I was thinking around around 7,000-8,000Hz any info would be helpful. Thanks

I'm running two Sundown amps, now discontinued, an SAX 50.4 for front coaxes and then lineout from that into an SAZ 1000D for the subwoofer. One of the front inputs on the 50.4 broke off, so for a temporary fix, I just ran the outputs from the stereo into the rear inputs. It was just the other day however, that I noticed I no longer had any bass coming from the sub. Now before I go tearing everything apart to see what's wrong, my first instinct was to assume that the line output of the 50.4 receives it's signal from the left and right front inputs. So if I'm using the rear inputs only, no signal to send out to the sub amp. Would this assumption be correct? I really …

Listen 1st of all I posted on here a few days ago about not getting my invoice. I had to go out of town for a job and could not post. This is the 1st chance I've had. Just let me start by saying some of you are so out of line it's unbelievable. I'm a paying customer who spent alot on my 2 amps. All I wanted was my invoice that DB-r fucked up and didn't send. The reason I posted here is because where else do I go when DB-r never get's around to sending the damn invoice? Give me a break I have done nothing wrong at all except ask for the invoice and it's not my problem if Db-r can't seem to remember our e-mail communications in which they told me they would send the invoic…

What is the easiest way to find out what stock is available. DBr's web site isn't always up to date. I live on the west coast so by the time I get home a simple phone call won't work. I am interested in either a b stock or a refurbished from dbr. It's my understanding that all referbished items are routed through Jacob and then to dbr. So is it possible to earmark an amp to be sent to dbr?
