Sundown Audio

A pair of saz1500d's strapped or a saz-3000d I am looking to upgrade from my ssd's to FI-q's in the near future and would like to know when the release date is for the 3000d as I need them for the comps I attend? and also any comps down there in NC anytime soon?

i am in the market for an amp to power my tc-5200. the two i can not decide between are the z1 and the 3000d. will the 3000d put out comparable power to the z1? they are both rated 3000 rms at 1 ohm, and i know the z1 is very underrated. what are your opinions? i know this is the sundown forum, so your opinions may be biased but i figure you know more about the 3000d since it isn't even out yet.

I rewired my sub from 1ohm to 4ohm & was wondering do I need to reset my gains or redo the wiring config. from my amp to my sub ? My set-up is in my sig. line if that helps. It sounds the same but maybe not as punchy as before & it has a little less volume in the substage. I can hear my front stage alot better now also. Also I messed up & stripped out one of my screw mounting holes in my enclosure. Is there an easy fix or should I just go ahead & get a nut & bolt for it? Thanks, Chris.

so my friend tells me this idea, and i became interested and want to know some opinions. if its a good idea i may just go with this over a 4th order bandpass through armrest.... he says "Alright plan on re-building the box and I may try this. Remember my trunk is extremely sealed off, I have computers and what not all on behind the rear seat and with the panel off it doesn't let much air intot he car. Anyways, I want to face the subs the same way, towards the back and have the port facing up and into the car. It would be built so the port goes directly into the rear deck. They are 9/10 on a bad day cosmetically, all look the same with pretty much only minor mounting foor wear. Yes, the logo is upside down on one of them... it is reversible so you can change it back. Today I took the Escalade to its first show its seen, I honestly was expecting to do terrible, but I just wanted to go to have fun and meet people, I wasn't about the numbers. I haven't had access to a termlab to test with, and I totally thought the Funkmaster Flex show was next week. This being said I have been awake for 48 hours, yesterday after I got home from a full shift at work at 4:00 a.m. I did nothing but work on the car and get things put in. What kind of current draws can I expect from the 1500D and the 100.2? I see that the combined fuse rating is 220 amps, but I assume this is under extreme situations. I have been considering incorporating both in my new system, but I only have a 130 amp alt. I really don't want to replace it if I can get away with it. The 1500D would be powering a Q 15 more than likely. Does anybody have any experience running this sub/amp combo? How about the same sub with a 1000D?

Ok guys i have a 100.4 and just got some new mids after old ones got replaced at cdt..... I want to know the best way to adjust your amps hpf and lpf? in this case my 100.4 hpf for my 3 way components..... i dont no if the vertical point in between both markings like 55 and 500 are exactly the average of the two. but id like to know how to set these filters fairly accurately... Ok just got my second 1500 today with sticker's for the car.my wife brought home a dell computer for my $300 2 mic term-lab . it is up and running But it is raining out so no test's just yet and I still need to hook up second 1500. i have my second 9500 D motor coming wensday . and I have a couple crx's in my sight's. i have 4 run's of 0 gauge and a nsb-90 to start with. still need the part's for second 9510 oh and crx last thing will be 6" aero port's. anyway's first show is the 28th need to do some testing by then and mess with a few box's but not sure how much I'm going to do with the eclipse for the first show. might just add second 1500 and go with it until the…

Going to be installing a HD315 that's dual 1.5ohm VC's. Getting it for a good price, otherwise if buying new I'd just have gotten a dual 2 ohm. I have a 200a alt, SVR batt up front, Deka Intimidator in back, BIG 3 in 1/0, amp wiring is 1/0, gain set with DMM. Is there anything else I need or need to know as I've never run an amp below 1ohm. It's a daily driver and 99% of the time I listen at moderate levels, meaning you can talk in the car with the stereo playing, but once in a while I plan on leaning on it pretty hard when playing music, NO burps, just cranking some tunes to unwind after work. What's considered safe: 5 minutes, 20 minutes, doesn't matter??? I just do…

Started in on the install.. Wish I had more ground cable, we decided to do multiple runs and I don't have enough grey/silver since we used some for more power wire.. doh. It'll all be hidden anyway. Lots more to do (probably a couple more days worth).. I'll keep the pics coming.

I noticed that the newest RD Audio class D internals are pretty well identical to Sundown stuff... what's the deal? First they were like atomic, and now Sundown? There seems to be a lot of this going on with amplifiers lately... What's your take on this Jacob?

I have a set of cdt 6 and half with upstage located in my doors and a pillars. They have an rms of 400. I have a 4.100 and would like to use it for them. It would be 320x2. I think I can run it bridged stereo with y adapters on the rca. My question is how do I set it up so that both channels are doing the same thing. The panel is a bit confusing to me. If I have both channels on high pass, what abou all the other controls?

first show with 1 1500d and 1 10" in a 02 eclipse did 145 @ 47 hrtz. it was third loudest of the day and I won my class. i had problems friday so I did'nt get to use both 1500d's and did'nt build a spl box. oh and my camera got left @ home so I will post a link for dbdrag result's when they are in. i got beat by a blazer with 2 old w6 15's and 2 dei 1100d's. and a chevy extreme with 4 9515's and 2 6500's. wish i got to use both 1500's think I could of done 147-148 easy

Wired a 1500d to a btl. Everything is right but there's no sound. Amp gets power, lights up blue. No protection light. Speaker wires test 1.8ohm (dual 1ohm wired to 2ohm) RCA's SHOULD be good...nothing has changed. How can I test my RCA voltage? I have a multimeter. (which part of the RCA is POS and which is NEG?) Anything else I'm missing?

But jus not sure what to set my dmm on to actually measure the voltage from the amp.. I can take pics of the dmm if that would help..

the SAZ-1500d is marked at 600 at everywhere i look iirc.. are these prices negotiable? because i have had people say they got theirs for 450. if not is there any where to buy used? and what is a good price i should be willing to pay for a used one?
