Are the Sub Out RCA's controlled by the subsonic filter built in the amp? Or are they purely non adjustable pass throughs? Thanks

so my friend tells me this idea, and i became interested and want to know some opinions. if its a good idea i may just go with this over a 4th order bandpass through armrest.... he says "Alright plan on re-building the box and I may try this. Remember my trunk is extremely sealed off, I have computers and what not all on behind the rear seat and with the panel off it doesn't let much air intot he car. Anyways, I want to face the subs the same way, towards the back and have the port facing up and into the car. It would be built so the port goes directly into the rear deck. How you guys think that will work? " 727kid on here, 2 12" BLs and 2 sundown 1500d's BTW.

I am in need of a 8" sub that works well in a very small, sealed enclosure. I came across the E8v2 Sundown sub, and it looks promising. I wanted to get some insight/experience from people in the know. Space is at a premium in my vehicle. I have around .3 to .35 ft3 to work with. I would like for it to have good SQ with good output (I am aware that it's an 8", but I have heard some 8s with decent output in a sealed enclosure, so I know what to expect). I have not purchased an amp yet, but I plan to run 300-400 RMS to the sub. This will be going in an mid-sized suv. I plan to build a center console type enclosure that will fit in the second row. So, having said all this, do…

Hey guys, I have about 50 e-mails I am behind on -- I am working as fast as I can on them =) Most are about the BM 10s -- I am trying to get caught up on the ones already sold before responding, so don't worry, I got your message ! Been house shopping for the past week and have had some big projects like DJ's truck with the 32 speakers go on... so sorry again for the delays.

Hello. What would you recommend to cabinet volume and Vents for two Nightshade 12 inches subwofers? driving them with a Sundown saz-3500d at 2ohm and racing .5 ohms. I would like to have a spl box that plays as high as possible but with Vents Can I change when I play on a daily basis. Excuse my bad English but I blame Google Translate! =) Hope you understand what I mean Please sign in liters and centimeters, so I understand what you mean too .. Have a nice day! Sundown Audio takes three first places: Team Tremorz (1st place)in RX1 and (2nd place)in db5 .We had voltage issues all day which will be resolved by Mooresville NC event AUG 30th. Sundown also takes first place in M3 with one SAZ3000 and two AQ/DD15's can't remember what team the guy was with in M3 . Sundown also takes a first place in SQ can't remember which class I didn't judge the sq side may have been ssa team? Congrats Jacob and keep building them so we can slowly take over the spl world one comp at a time.

The guy in this thread basically had the same questions as I. I thought about bumping it, but it might suit me best to have my own thread. If I want my High Pass crossover point to be at 3.5khz @24db slope, then playing a tone at 3.5KHZ should be half the wattage of what frequency? Should I expect full wattage at 4khz?

I own an Atomic AT 1600.1D and recently purchased a Sundown SAZ 1500D because I am converting once the Sundown 50.4 comes out. I tested it out today in my truck and here's my opinion. Both amps are very very well built. There was noo difference in bass and performance. Both amps never get hot. They both performed surperbly on my 3 10's. The major difference and Chris from DB R told me this was the heatsink design. The Sundown was much heavier. The Sundown is built like a tank I mean that "mother" is one solid amp. The external appearance for both looks about the same the Sundown in my opinon looks a little better. I think the major difference though will be in c…

I expect Fs to drop to 25 Hz or so with full break-in... which will take probably a week or so of play on these.

Recently getting involved with Sundown as a dealer in Florida, I sold my entire JL setup and switched to Sundown amps and subs. Jacob worked hand in hand with finding a good fit for my small BMW 318i. I installed 2 Sundown SA 12" subs on a Sundown 1500 Watt Amp. They are wired to 1ohm and run extremely well. The ported box is tuned to about 34hz, and i am very pleased with how the subs are responding. These subs will blow so many other setups out of the water! I am proud to say more amps will be going into my car and I look forward to selling a quality product! Kevin

I'm running two Sundown amps, now discontinued, an SAX 50.4 for front coaxes and then lineout from that into an SAZ 1000D for the subwoofer. One of the front inputs on the 50.4 broke off, so for a temporary fix, I just ran the outputs from the stereo into the rear inputs. It was just the other day however, that I noticed I no longer had any bass coming from the sub. Now before I go tearing everything apart to see what's wrong, my first instinct was to assume that the line output of the 50.4 receives it's signal from the left and right front inputs. So if I'm using the rear inputs only, no signal to send out to the sub amp. Would this assumption be correct? I really …
