I know it is said a 100 times a day... "with impedance rise you are going to be over 1 ohm anyway" when talking about a half ohm load or lower on a daily system. Sure... if you constantly played individual sine waves one at a time. But, is that what music is? --- http://www.audiograph.se/subpages/technical/whatmakesagoodamplifier.htm "The upper graph illustrates the conventional way of measuring the loudspeaker impedance. The lower graph illustrates the dynamical approach. We took a commercial ’off-the shelf’ loudspeaker and did a standard impedance plot for it. We swept the frequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, measured the input voltage and current, and calculated the impeda…

My question is why do people run 2 or 3 lines of 0 gauge to the back? also im running a 300amp alt 1 kinetik 2000 under the hood and two 2400s for the audio. im piecing everything together rite now should be done in a month. just waiting on the componets

I like these subs and they were tough to beat for the price. (Light, Loud, Clean, Effecient) I didn't have ONE unhappy SD-1 customer. What was everyone's opinion on these subs? Look. An unofficial 130dB off a "100" watt amp. Enclosure by James Taylor.

The 1500D being $599 and the 1000D being only $399 means the 1000D costs less per watt. So why would someone get the 1500 over the 1000?

I have my 2 Saz-1500's strapped. I have 2 15" Fi BL subs. They have all the power options on them. Now when I set my gains with the DMM 77.5 volts - 5 volts for my headunit output i get the old smelly subs. Meaning when I turn the volume up i start to smell voice coil. So i turn the gain down a little bit and it seems like the subs aren't as loud as they were with my American Bass amp. So I turn the gain up just a little more and start to smell the voice coils again. It is almost like there is a magic area on the gain where I don't smell voice coil when turned up. I don't know it seems like the amps should be doing more than what they are doing. But when I turn …

i took a 20 hour trip friday/sat and about 3 hours in the amp started cutting out on channel 3 ONLY but i noticed the other channels sounded a bit distorted as well... i get to ohio(from louisiana) and trouble shoot it, checked everything, opened the board up NOTHING visual.. put it vack in and played it for about 30 min and it still occures.. so i go to lower the gains a bit just enought to keep it from getting hot and cutting out/sounding bad.. i touch the gain(pot) and it completely shorts channel 3 out. i mean completely cuts off when i touch the pot to the chassie of hte amp... figuring its got a short somewhere between hte gain and the output i ground the amp frame …

Well wife got a newer car, 2005 Kia Spectra5 and of course I wanted to put a system in it. So since I couldn't find a buyer for my Alpine CDA-9835 that will be going in this week when the kit/harness arrive. I will be putting some Polk 6.5 coaxials in the doors for now, those are in her old car atm. Just this past weekend I worked a deal where I built a box for a single 12 and swapped that for a SA8 barely broken in. So today I decided to go ahead and build the box for the SA8. Also picked up a MTX4001 400W@2ohm mono amp for $60 from a friend of mine who owns a pawn shop in Merrit Island. Here's a few pics of the box; That's it for now, gotta pick up charcoal gray …

I have a Nissan 350Z and I have ordered a 180amp HO alternator from Ohio Gen to go along with a Kinetik HC1400 under the hood. Do you think that'll be sufficient to power one SAZ-1500D (1ohm 1500W), one SAX-100.4 (bridged 320Wx2), and one SAX-100.2 (stereo 100Wx2)? I already have the "Big 3" done as well. I refuse to run Capacitors so please don't even bother suggesting one.

hi, my truck has 2 jump seats. ( one on each side) and i only need 1 so i figure that i can use the empty the space to mount my sax100.2 for my 2 sdl v1 12" and my soon to be sax100.4 under the driver's seat and use the passenger side as the access to the one jump seat so it wount get kicked or anything. and i am wondering will this cause any heating issue's with the sax100.2 because it will have a cover on it to make it look farirly stock, i was thinking of maybe adding a cross flow type fan but i figure i would ask before i go ahead and do it. if u want i can most pics of it tomorrow,

Is the wired remote control for the SAZ-1500D a bass boost or is it a level control meaning will it boost a certain frequency or will it adjust the entire output level of the amp? Also when I set up the amp, my head unit outputs are 5V so I set the gain on the amp for 5V right? So when I attach the wired remote for the amp, regardless of what level the remote is set to I shouldn't get any clipping? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, but I've never owned an amp with a wired remote. One last thing, the SAX-100.4 also comes with a wired remote, does it work the same way as for the SAZ-1500D?

I just want to make sure I have this right. right now I have (2) 4-ohm 10's in my doors ( one 10" in each door). one 10 on channel three and one on channel 4. (channels one and two are occupied by my tweeters and horns and I'm good there). now, I want to replace them with two sundown neo-pro 10's which are 8ohm. am I correct in thinking that I can wire them together down to 4ohm and then bridge them on channels 3 and 4 to get the most power out of my 100.4? how much rms will that amp produce to those channels in that configuration? Thanks guys

im going to be running the sax-100.4 amp with a set of 6 1/2 components in the front and some 6X9 in the rear, deck is alpine cda-9885. my question is how can i run the front components speakers and the rear speakers active using the same amp ? i thought i read somewhere you can do that with this amp im just not sure how if it only has 4 channels. isn't it one channel per speaker? or should i just run the front with the amp and rear of the deck ? any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated thank you!

Just a general question about wiring the amp. For the terminals for the ground and positive how did you guys affix the wire into the terminal. Did you guys solder the tip of the wire and then screw it down or did you just insert the bare wire and then screw it down? Thanks guys.

i am going to be running 2 12" Q's w/ bp power off of a sundown 2000 that i have preordered. i also plan on ordering a 100.4 sundown amp also for my 6.5" and 6x9's. i was looking at the knukonceptz dual amp 0 gauge wiring kit. what size inline fuse would i want and also the 2 fuses on the distribution block? also for the rca cables there are options for 4ch and 2ch. i am not sure of what i would need exactly. sorry for all the questions, i just want to try to get everything right the first time. thank you in advance.
