I got a sundown saz-1000d in trade.since dont have any subs yet i unhook my four channel amp to see if the amp worked. when i turn my radio on the fuses pop.i only hook up the power and ground the remote wire and the rca up.i was thinking it could be doing this because im using 8ga wire and i have a 80 amp fuse under the hood. when i hook my four channel amp back up to the same wires it works just fine. i went to the part store and to get my fuses and everyone pop on me.i replace the fuse with 25 amp fuses.what could be causing my fuses to pop?

NeoPro-8 models are now SOLD OUT. Also -- all NeoPro speakers will face a small price increase due to the Neo cost increases. The next run of NeoPro-8s will include 4 ohm models as well. We will have more in stock in June... the demand for these really snuck up on us exponentially rather than just a gradual increase so supply was literally pulled right out from under us! We should have more steady data on the demand in the future on these. New / Old Pricing : NeoPro-6.5 : $99 / NA NeoPro-8 : $105 / $99 NeoPro-10 : $129 / $115 The 10" has a much bigger piece of Neo in it so was more affected. If Neo goes back down in the future we'll adjust accordingly -- we may also offer…

Been here all weekend with customers and whatnot anyway... so decided to drop one in the Jeep real quick. The Jeep hasn't had much love lately and I was using it to haul scrap metal for a while (hence the wooden truck bed) but I decided to break it back out. One 4500D @ 1 ohm with one extra SPV-70 for battery. My box has a pretty high rise so probably seeing 3-4 ohms or so actual on the amp so not a ridiculous amount of juice yet. Sub still has a good bit of usable throw remaining. So I guess the next phase is to actually put in a more usable battery setup for multiple amps and use two amps at 0.5 ohm to get the sub to full stroke. Not sure yet if that will get done …

Exceptional customer service! I bought 2 Sa-12's locally but forgot to take my DMM with me so kinda took a risk buying them.. One came out to be dual 4 ohm which the guy "didn't know about".. Ohh well. My friend ordered a recone for me but put no adress and left out some necessary info. I get an email from Debbie at Sundown notifying me about it and asking me the info that was left out. Before my friend ordered it I asked Jacob questions on pricing and how about to order the recone.. Didn't take much for him to get back to me. For the amount of emails he receives and work he has to do to get things taken care of, I am impressed I love their CS and products. Will definat…

I was wanting to know on the amps, if you have to use both speaker channels or can you just use one channel. I'm running my 2 dual 4 ohm subs, wired to 1 ohm.

Welcome to Sundown Went live yesterday. The biggest upgrade is behind the scenes... the new software actually allows us to do more modifications so we don't need to bug our web guy (aka: taking forever for us to get around to it). I have already started filling in lots of missing information, pictures, and typing descriptions. Comments / big reports are welcome at this time. Some information is not there YET -- mounting data, specs, etc... that stuff is coming soon. We are absolutely slammed with woofer building so that takes a bit of a back seat. I may also get even more technical in the descriptions as well -- I am sure everyone enjoys that. Also the dealer locator is M…

Okay, I have gone ahead and built the shell in my car and I have between 23-24 cubes total. My plan is to run 8 sa12's off 4 saz1500's. My main concerns are with port. If i do all 8 on a flat wall i can get about 187" of port. If i go down to 6 subs I can get upwards of 320" of port. If you go with a smaller port do you want to go with a smaller box? or Would it be better to go big box small port? I usally go with a 14" per cubes on port area with most boxes i build, but this one I just cant get the entire 14" with 8 subs. I had also spoken to DJ and he was said 187" in 14 cubes should be good, but i woundering if there is any rules about port area-vs-box size... …

Basically, I have just bought two (more) ReSponse 1500 watt amps, same board as the SAZ-1500. These amps are protection happy at 0.5ohm per amp, which puzzles me, as I have used two others in the past, (one borrowed, one mine) that happily played everything, wired at 0.5ohm daily... Does anyone have the schematic of the protection circuit in the sundown amp? so I can potentially compare values, or possibly someone can point me in the direction of what components may need to be changed? thanks!

Again... these are all sold and accounted for. Watch out for next pre-order soon. Should be much faster this time as our rectifiers are in stock now. We'll be testing them and shipping next week.

New 2012 Model Amps will start to roll out in May this year. We will be out of stock of almost all amplifiers until that time. We apologize for the period of no stock on the amplifiers but this is necessary to further increase the quality and performance of our products. We expected amplifier stock to hold out until May but record sales have made that impossible so we do appreciate all of our dealers and customers and their continued support. Stay tuned for information coming soon on the new 2012 models! Specifics : * SAX-125.2 still in stock * Final shipment of 2500s / 3500s due in about 30 days * Stocking dealers like WoofersEtc.com will still have some amps for…

Just a quick question. I am on a quest trying to create a small enclosure for my small Jetta trunk and still have usable space. Slot port enclosures take up a lot of room that a standard Aero Port doesn't. Would a single 4" Aero Port tuned to the right length, be enough for two SA-10s in a reccommended specification enclosure powered by a SAX-1200D?

Car Audio Classifieds -- Part I of this project from April 2010. Continued from last year... since we proved the prior box worked so well even made from super low grade plywood we finally got around to making one from genuine Russian 13-ply birch plywood. Derrick was up for some testing yesterday and was able to stay up here to work on this box for me today -- on to the pictures : * Back wall cut -- have some weight on the port to hold the glue down for a bit as it will be permanently attached from the inside. * High strength 3M Epoxy glue to hold it in.

The box is built for 2 Sundown audio sa-12's tuned to about 35z with 2 2" ports and i was wondering if those would be a big enough ports or if i should take out the middle separator and make it one big 3" port. The end goal is to have the least amount of port noise possible. This is with the 2 different ports This is with the single port And advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well I guess ill start off by saying..... Thumbs up Jacob on another HomeRUN id say. Just when we was all too believe SA was arguably the best bang for the buck sub out there....you come out with something that trumps it in price, and in my eyes....doesnt lose hardly any of the great qualities that we all loved about the SA. So when you pull it out of its packaging youre thinking, Hmmm...not …

Okay, so I finally was able to buy some Sundown product!!! Well I bought an SD2-10 and a Sundown SAX100.4. I read on the forums that the recommended box size was .5 cu ft sealed. Upon installing I had my Dad build the box and he told me that with sealed bigger is better. I believe the dimensions of the box are as follows... Top Width - 18" Bottom Width - 23" Depth - 9.5" Height - 13" Now granted these are external dimensions and we used .75" MDF... I'm just curious is this box too big for the sub? I have the sub wired to a 4ohm load on the rear channels of the 100.4. Any input would be greatly appreciated
